I can’t imagine too many competitors producing a bike that has these features and quality anywhere near this price. The D2 leaves me longing for nothing. It really does everything well and I can’t wait to get on it again and again. It has great looks and the MIK rack is excellent. Velotric did this one right.

Thanks. I’ll check out the EBC. But I really like that level too. Unfortunately the engine is a little smaller. But it’s pretty sweet.

I have listened to a lot of reviews on this bike and it checks off most of my blocks. I went to a local bike shop and rode the large model as I am 6`3" and the seat height was no problem for me as this reviewer said I may no like it. I was very impressed with the ride and it seem to have plenty of power and speed once you got rolling. The thing I did not like was the sluggishness from a dead stop using the throttle (boost + PAS 5) or just peddling from a dead start. I am accustomed to using a throttle to start off and when crossing a busy street I need instant acceleration. I get it, some riders are not used to instant power and may startle a new rider. It appears they have bult in a power ramp when starting with the throttle. I wish they had an option for this parameter and make the bike speedier from a dead stop. I would have bought this bike on the spot (black Friday) . I hope Velotric is listening!

Oh, EBC. I did not realize that’s what they called them. Yes, this is my top-of-the-line favorite.

Also, the electric bike company - a slightly customized one to match the style of the discover two. Love the color on the Discover2 - Red, and The Eurpree black and tan - test ride all but the electric bike company. Aventon felt very refined.

Yes, the Velotric and Aventon are both nice, and the EBC bikes are all excellent quality as well; they are hand-built in the USA, but pricing is high for EBC. It's a great option if you want a bike built in the USA. It looks like you have it down to a good selection of bikes! Hard to go wrong with your choices

Not really used to navigating around you too. But I’m looking at the Aventon Level.2 and Eurphree Robin

The Aventon Level.2 was another great bike that we reviewed! Both are good bikes

I saw in a recent you tube video of a six months later review, at the end he mentioned he got a new display Velotric sent him which has updated firmware that has an updated UI that displays the bike mode, whether cadence or torque. Also has the ability for o change this in the menu on the display. I reached out to Velotric and they don’t have any information as when this update will be available and if it will be available OTA to get the updated UI.
Great question! Yes, our unit does not support the display's cadence/torque sensor change. and we are currently up to date with OTA updates. Let us see what we can dig up on this and get back to you

Has anyone had trouble with the Velotric discover 2 motor ? I have a noise on my bike at 23 mph psa 3 gear 6or7 .Level ground . Its a wine nose. Take it up to 24 or 25 mph and the nose goes away.
@BikeRidecom18 күн бұрын
Most of the rear hub motors will make a loud whining noise at higher speeds, and this may go away or get louder depending on the circumstance. I have noticed most hub motors get louder while climbing hills , travelling at high speed. Some also seem to get louder as they age. The sound to watch out for is a rattling, scrapping, thunking, or ratcheting sound, often accompanied by vibration from the hub motor. That is your warning that the motor's internals are not meshing correctly, and you will need to get the motor serviced and most likely replaced.

Those taller than 185cm should consider buying longer seat post, preferably carbon as it will help absorb bump better than alu, but with higher price.
@BikeRidecom13 күн бұрын
Yes that may assist with finding proper leg extension, just be carful with the clasp style quick release on a carbon seatpost, they can be fragile if too much pressure is applied
