I used to wash my hair once a week for most of my life up until I was around 14 and then my hairdresser was outraged that I only washed it once and said I should be doing it at least twice a week. I wash it twice a week now, once on Monday/Tuesday and then again on Friday/Saturday. I don't use heat on my hair very often, I usually let it dry naturally in flexi rollers or sometimes just let it dry wavy and then very very rarely, I dry my hair with a hairdryer.
