Nice! The first shaded fan I made years ago ended up being not-so-great. Not nearly good enuf for furniture, but I ended up inlaying t on a canoe paddle, for which it was wonderfully over the top. The guy who taught us to shade had us toasting the segments after cutting them, so the centre was quite dark. I like how you shaded the stock before cutting, makes so much more sense.

Amazing :) what is the type of glue you are using in the small yellow bottle? I would also prefer to use shellac so I’m curious what glue you are using! Thanks for the great introduction!
