I agree but recast Hardy. He's fine in the role but if they're gonna do it the right way they should get the right actor. Love Hardy but he's not a great Eddie Brock.

@@doc8013 I’m open to either. Hardy is getting up there in age also. Alan ritchson is the spitting image of Brock. But realistically by all the talks from hardy hinting he will fight Spider-Man, they likely already have things planned. We can only pray he’s at least a variant and not the Sony Brock.

Venom is a lot deeper than just a goofy Spiderman copycat. Eddie is the guy who became venom after wanting Spiderman to die and became his dark copy bent on killing those who deserve death and protecting innocents. Venom is an alien spawn that provokes rage and feral behavior within hosts. Inherited from experience with rageful hosts As the perfect host, eddie comes in good terms with venom. And both as Venom, they are a dark Spiderman. Hence why they're goofy. Spiderman is goofy

I enjoyed the first venom movie, but I hated the second one. TIL this day I’m not sure how they managed to mess up a movie with both venom and carnage. This third movie looks fun but I’m going to wait to stream it after reading early reviews

As expected this sounds like the best of the trilogy although the venom movies as we know have flaws yes I'll still see it hopefully the future will be bright for the venom story arcs

The second one got better scores because everyone knew what to expect. They saw the first one and knew it was the opposite of high cinema and to turn their brains off. It got graded on a curve.

My biggest issue is them never using Spiderman. The story overall is pretty decent but always was missing the redemption arc that Eddie needs to be more of an amazing character. Same way Loki or magneto gets in the films. If this is the last venom movie, i hope it's not the last of venom we get. I hope they can do a more comic accurate story in the future.

I honestly don't have any interest in this one lol. Venom 1 was... okay at best. A stupid movie that knows what it is. I was mystified how many people said Venom 2 was better than the first; I remember watching it in theatres with my wife & crew, and we were like: "This was awful." I'll probably watch on a cheap Tuesday. Still waiting on the day we get a true Venom/Spidey crossover that's SOMEWHAT true to the comics lore, or at least their dynamic.

I rank Let There Be Carnage above Venom 1 because half of that first film is stuck being a boring cookie cutter superhero film that doesn't kick off until Eddie and Venom actually bond while Let There Be Carnage has the absolute ridiculous ride that is their relationship and Tom Hardy's chaotic acting the whole way through that I adore

Seeing early on Thursday . Stop watching and looking @ reviews/ promos / trailers. Made up my mind I would give this film a try. Hopefully it’s a decent movie- if nothing else it’s the last of the best thing Sony does outside of help from Marvel that isn’t a cartoon.

Zero interest. First film was a snooze for me, second's trailer looked so bad I didn't even bother, and had much the same reaction to the trailers for this one. Introducing Knull is interesting to me because I was never a big Venom fan growing up when he was introduced, but there've been some great runs in recent years in the comics with the King in Black lore in both Cates and Ewing's runs, but it sounds more like we're getting set up for that than an actual depiction of it. If Eddie is going away, then maybe we get room for some of the Agent Venom and Spaceknight runs with Flash Thompson in the symbiote. But given how Sony's handled everything else in these films, I'm not hopeful or confident. I'll just wait for more Spider-Verse and content myself with the comics.

Because there are actually some people who do like these movies or just want to see it for the sake of having their own opinion on it. Casual audiences probably don’t give a rats ass whether Sony or marvel makes the movies or not

@@seanwolfe1181 correct. Casuals have no clue what the difference is. But based off the Rotten Tomatoes (and other sites), all the Sony movies have been panned. Even if you’re a casual, what’s good about Morbius, Madame Web, or the Venoms? Venom has Fast and the Furious camp appeal. But if you’re expecting more than a movie to laugh at with these, I’ll just say I’d be shocked

I'm curious, not outright excited… midnight screening Thu night/Fri morn for me. 🎟 And yes, 1 was serviceable and 2 was sub-par… I think I paid the 'IMAX Tax' for that movie too and was so damn upset, haha. 😓
