So glad you are back at it without any major issues. Last week had to have really shaken you but it looks like the Jeep is back to normal and you are back out in your element. This expedition into Canada has been absolutely incredible. So many beautiful remote places, absolutely inspiring.

Glad to see you are hanging in there. You did not even scratch the surface of the trail systems in Quebec. You will have to visit it again someday. Pembroke!!! Another great little place and Joe's is another great little restaurant. The Algonquin Park has a lot of hiking trails so get your boots ready! Good luck Chris. P.S. If you can, drive through Algonquin Park early in the morning SLOWLY. The moose and bear will be active and you might get to see a few.

Chris, you should put some fabric softener sheets around your Jeep to keep mice out. They don’t like the smell of it. We do that with our RV and have never had mice issues over winter. It’ll also make the inside of your Jeep smell nice. :)

Happy to see you bouncing back so nicely after your incident. But then again I expected nothing else given your great attitude. As usual superb storyline and production values. A cooking tip - for nice evenly cooked crispy bacon turn the heat down a bit. Fine bacon is like fine wine. They both take a bit more time than the not so good stuff. Not that bacon in any form can be bad. But perfect bacon is, well, perfect.

I'm glad you're doing okay Chris those pictures at your first stop where is spectacular. Just a little heads-up now that you're in Ontario moose season is over at the end of the month the first two weeks of November is deer season so just watch yourself when you're out in the back country you may come across some hunters if you're going to be walking in the woods I suggest you get some orange. Other than that have a safe trip. You're okay in Algonquin Park there's no hunting.👍👍🇨🇦😀

Head to Baja this winter as that should dry out the Jeep. I use socks filled with Sophresh unscented kitty litter. Its a desiccant that absorbs moisture and odor. Most larger pet stores have it or an equivalent. Its also reusable if you warm it in an oven or over some heat. Just place the filled socks around and they do wonders.

Additional comment (#2) I was watching your May 19 to 26 2017 Vlog... you made a comment on going "down in a non-maintained road" but you turned around because you "didn't want to die in a flash flood" wise move... however I have to say once I did find myself in a similar situation with my "safe" camping spot that had a great view of the flood areas. It was an awesome experience to just watch, safely, from my camping spot. the natural geological processes of the flash flood progression. As you did later in the video, however, it took me three days of "chilling" to get to the point I could get out with some assurance of not getting stuck in the mud, however a lot more distance in just mud... similar to what you had to get out of... I will say... it was great fun...

I've been a subscriber since you started modifying the jeep for this life-style changing adventure. At the time I was looking for tips on modifying my own JKU for a similar overlanding tips having just retired from the Park Service. Little did I know that I would be a follower for this long. My trips while not continuous like yours, can take up to 3 months at a stretch so I feel a kind of kinship with you. I guess what I like about your post is the absence of background overdubbed music, the silent ambient stillness or the roar of a waterfall is enough and probably the point (or at least one of them) of the trip. Your videos look more like my trips than any others on U-Tube. They communicate the realities and the rewards of life on the road better than any on the internet. I also have an inside appreciation of the difficulties of putting these videos together as I have tried it and don't have the zen like patience required. So i guess this amounts to a long thank you, and keep it up.

When you get a chance, get hold of a dehumidifier. We had 40+ inches of rain in tropical storm Imelda here in southeast TX back in Sept. My wife's new car flooded some 2 inches inside. The wiring connectors, sensors below the carpet and mat were saturated. Radio quit, intermittent operation of various electrical things on the car. I put a 20 inch box fan inside and a small 30 Liter unit. I left one window cracked open about 1/2 inch. I removed all standing water from car with my shop vac. With no visible water and the carpet appearing dry, I still had to dump the water tray twice a day. After 6 days, the unit no longer collected water. The stereo is back and so are the windows. Its worth a try before the moisture begins to deteriorate the wiring further. The odor can be removed with a pan of charcoal and fan.

Once again, glad You and the Jeep good, minus a little pride and door locks. You can get a "Damp-Rid" container to help with the moister removal inside the Jeep. Also some Electrical Circuit Silicon spray and Die-Electric Grease for your under the hood Relay/fuse box. You are probably going to need to get some replacement Realys. Or pop the covers off of them and hit them with the silicon spray. The relay covers are good at keeping air moister out. But are terrible are letting moister out, after they have been Dunked. And I am sure I speak for most of your followers. We are extremely happy both of you are safe and sound. For a lot of Us, your videos are great for when we ourselves cant get out. And fill that vvoid and motive Us to get cracking on our own adventure. A couple more months and my YJ will be done. Then I am going to get a A-liner trailer and do some off-road mods. I have to have a base camp. After my back surgeries sleeping on the ground with no heavy matttess, would make me a perment resident of the lay on the ground people. Because you probably couldnt make me get up, with even a .45 pointed at me. Hopefully our paths will cross, when I get out soon. I make one Hell of a grilled cheese!
