Yo great video! I visited in March 2021, visited Papago Park, Tempe butte (A mountain), and one of those high mountain peaks in Phoenix (I don't recall the name), also went on an epic Jeep tour through the Sonoran. I also would recommend just visiting the many malls/strip malls there. Can't wait to go back to Phoenix again, your video does a great job explaining a lot of the good stuff there.

Another place I'd recommend going if visiting here is the Desert Botanical Garden. It's wonderful and you won't find anyplace like it anywhere except this area. The Boyce-Thompson Arboretum is also great, but really there's nothing anywhere like the DBG. It's also right by the Papago Park. As far as this list goes everything here is pretty much good (although I'd pass on the Salt River Tubing), but one place stands out: the Musical Instrument Museum. The MIM is awesome! Another place I'd add is the Heard Museum. If you're here and miss that, you missed something special.

Great video. Just spent a weekend there earlier in the month. It really is beautiful but I don’t think I could live there- feels like a giant suburb. Great video! Although American cities East of the Mississippi River have very different histories than Phoenix and other Sunbelt cities who became populated mostly after WW2 and air conditioning. Eastern American cities had large populations well before WW2 and very different histories.

Phoenix was populated but still a very small population compared to the Eastern US until air-conditioning became common and after WW2. This is when Phoenix' population grew to be comparable to the Eastern US cities.

PHX native here: there's really not much to do here, unless you're into nature and things like that. other then that the club life is sad and watered down.. for whatever reason clubs still play edm in 2022 and are just overly packed on top of the hot ass heat. The one high I'll say is I never had better Mexican food, I'm literally convinced Phoenix has the best Mexican food not Scottsdale... Phoenix!! And if you want it even more authentic west Phoenix to be precise! But we know the east valley folks are going to just shit on the west valley hence the east valley looks like a wonderland compared to the actual Phoenix, tells you the kind of person that's from Scottsdale to west phx

Forgot to add about 300 years of history. The first Europeans to arrive to Arizona was around 1528, they were the initial builders of the cities, who gave the names to most locations in Arizona known today. Including the name Arizona. But it's not surprising, I was educated in Arizona and they never taught us this history. 😅 I only learned it after reading history books published outside the state.
