@@JBM802 I don't know what bathroom wall or Russian website you picked up that lame "One Bill Bernie" thing from, but - Spoiler Alert! - it's pathetic how people think the measure of a senator's effectiveness is somehow tied to how many bills they pass. That's like saying you can judge a president's effectiveness by how many "big, beautiful walls" he got Mexico to pay for - or how many pornstars they paid hush money to - and then lied about. P.S. it's great to see you using that same ignorant phrase over and over. But, doesn't that strike you as somehow lazy and unimaginative? Vermont resident who has been affected, here’s an idea regarding FEMA reform and climate change, when roads are damaged from stores, rebuild using the river rocks, FEMA approved bringing rocks in from quarries to rebuild the road. 2 problems, adding rocks to the river raises the flood plain which creates a higher risk of flooding and it also entraps people who pay flood insurance a higher rate towards fema to come in again and just repeat the damages year after year. Oh and another thing, those stones from quarries, they have high probability of arsenic in them which they aren’t testing them, they just dump them right along our clean water ways which are supposed to be protected.

@@ryan05753 the inflation reduction act was a MISLABELED BILL but was a weaker version of Build Back Better which was killed in the senate by every corporate Republican and Corporate Dem Joe Manchin. The Inflation Reduction Act did play a small role in reducing inflation, but that's not what makes the bill a good bill. Not only will businesses not come to Vermont. Companies will not hire Vermont telecommuters because of Vermont's tax policies. Bernie references supply chain issues. These issues were exasperated by COVID-19 policies mandated by the United Nation and World Health Organization. These policies damaged the supply chain. The supply chain is now being manipulated by a new more sustainable economic development plan based on the services industry. This economic plan also comes from the United Nations. How much carbon is in the atmosphere is .04. no one is arguing whether the climate changes. The discord centers around the impact of carbon.
@lggl46676 күн бұрын
there is no discord around the impact of carbon. Everyone who doesn't have an agenda agrees that climate change is caused by humans dumping loads of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The oil companies have known this fact since the 1950s, and they've been lying about it since. Don't believe the lies.

It is not the government's responsibility to create jobs, but the government can set the stage for increased job creation by vastly reducing regulations that make it impossible for small businesses to compete, or to even start up. Stopping favoritism such as subsidies and bailouts would also allow for a fairer competitive market. How does anyone think the government can actually do anything to change the entire climate when they can't even stop spam? Do you think the government is going to stop the volcanic activity that is heating the ocean or stop the solar storms? If such technology is developed, would it even be wise to try it? Every government action intended for good always has negative repercussions, many of which can't be known until implemented. Existential threat this, existential threat that..... this is just terrorism to scare people into modifying their behavior for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is to maintain a terrified voter base that keeps coming back for more. It is an abusive relationship.
