That oil tank looks like a well made piece of kit. The fuel injection system looks like Boeing 787 quality. The engine mount seems exceedingly well designed. I’ve never been particularly interested in radial engines till now. This just seems like an exceptionally well engineered powerplant!

Scalebirds also has a video of their litefighter flying with the 7U on it if you want to hear what it sounds like. It sounds so badass! I'm excited to see what it can do on a kitfox!

I just received a verner 5 cylinder. Could you tell me where you purchased your propeller hub/adaptor??

I was wondering where you got the engine mount at?

@@vernerradialkitfox4083 I'm at S43, not far away. Would be fun to fly over and see it when you get it mounted!

Would this be too much engine for a Pietenpol Air Camper?

If the 7 cylinder is too heavy then there is always the 5 cylinder. Might be a better choice. Go to their website and click on the gallery. www.vernermotor.com/ You'll see planes of similar weight and performance profile.

What are your estimates/ hopes on cruise speed? Did you consider the 9S?
@vernerradialkitfox4083 Жыл бұрын
I think the Kitfox with Supersport wing and cabane gear is good for 100-105mph, so I'll be happy with that. I might squeak out a few mph with some drag reduction (strut fairings and covering the gear). Of course I considered the Scarlett 9 but I think the 7 is a good balance of weight and power. It's slightly more power than the 912 without a huge weight penalty. Thanks for asking!
