This update was incredibly interesting- so much progress made, so much high quality hardware in position. Such a unique and interesting project ♠️♠️♠️

I love that radial you have. That alone will make your aircraft stand out from all the others. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing that beautiful engine running. Thank you for the update,I look forward to the next ones.

I would love to hear it run as well, I've followed several kitfox builds but none with a radial engine. To let you know, I've enjoyed watching your work on this build and the flying pictures of Alaska.

I just installed one of Sensenich’ new blade and hub designs. Materials and workmanship are excellent IMO. The Pitch Gage Pin system is excellent in concept. For my new, 120 hp, Jabiru 3300 Gen-4, max static RPM available with the finest pitch setting provided, was too low. I was disappointed that Sensenich Tech Support’s suggested solution was to ship the blades back to Florida (from Arizona) so they could relocate the Pitch Stop Pins at the base of each blade to allow finer settings with the Gage Pins provided. I elected to have the 4, most-coarse setting gages, lathed down to finely, progressively finer (diameters) Pitch Settings. Am optimistic my next engine run will demonstrate useable static RPM with optimal settings available. If we have to break out a level, a ruler and protractor to adjust pitch, the precise repeatability of the highly touted hub/pitch-setting system would be zero value. Am sure we both will get the results advertised. Just might require a machinist to get there.

I have read comments about the Sensenich design, saying you still need a protractor to set it accurately. I'll have to borrow one to see how close the pins get me. I would do the same as you and just have new stop pins made instead of sending it in.

I got my engine through Brett Hahn at Brahn Sport. His website is www.radialsrock.com/ and by the way he's got a sale going on right now for 5, 7 and 9 cylinder engines

@@vernerradialkitfox4083Glad you posted this. I reviewed the site and am impressed with the relatively low weight and affordability. I suppose opting for the 9-cylinder variant would have required loosing virtually all access to the front of the firewall, with a very short engine-mount. And the requisite, substantial reduction in wallet contents.

Looking good. I'm sure you have said and I missed it but I was wondering the weight of the engine? Those darn folding landing gear will get you every time. 😂
