I spent 6 weeks at a language school in Stuttgart at the beginning of last year. In that time, I only went in a car once or twice. The majority of the time was spent using trains (S Bahn and U Bahn). Although the public transport was very good, as an Australian, I really missed the opportunity to drive around Stuttgart in a car. This video has provided me with that opportunity. Thank you. 😊

I saw that! I like that more than one of us document the same road, each one has a different perspective and adds new information :)

Thank you for posting this video. I am from Canada and will be driving from Stuttgart to Rothenburg ob der tauber. Do you have any pointers for a foreign drivier who will be driving on the autobahn for the first time? Thanks!\

Hi, the most important advice for driving in a foreign country is do what you see and you won't get into any trouble. Oh and check your mirrors twice to calculate the speed of other cars. They may come a lot quicker than you'd expect!

Add music. It's good but music makes it even better.

Hi, I started adding music to my videos some time ago, this one however does not have any b/c KZbin does not make it possible to add several tracks to a video that has already been uploaded.

Most intersections, even in the city, performed by using tunnels instead of bridges. It looks a bit unusual.

Stuttgart is full of mountains and forests so tunnels are the only way to get around them.

Well, our world-known and precious German efficiency sometimes requires some time! Look at the new BER airport in Berlin for example, a true achievement of engineering and ONLY 5 billion Euros over budget! ;)

Germany is extremely inefficient with big construction works. They take several times longer than in other countries. My country (Spain) is not good with that either, but Germany should do better -at least they have the money to.

I wonder what would happen if Europe were as efficient as China.

@@RoadsofEuropeverreme atleast the Spanish big projects are more ambitious with wonderful aesthetics, unlike the Germans big projects are oozing minimalism, lack flair and aesthetics.

@@RoadsofEuropeverreme Thje problem are the peoples protests, They slow down the projects a lot, so in the case of BER meanwhile laws for safety and fireprotection were changed and slowed down the projects even more.
