Versus Series: Kavar vs Antares Draco

Hope you guy's enjoy this one and the second installment of the Legacy Era Mini Marathon! I'm very excited to share this with all of you as I feel it's some of my best analysis I've done yet. Kotor 2 is one of my favorite if not my favorite Star Wars game and Kavar was always the most interesting Jedi to me. So when I was looking for ideas to matchup against Draco, he fit in perfectly! As for Draco he is an amazing character and part of a cool faction that has endless possibilities in my eyes. But anyways, without further ado I present, The Famed Jedi Guardian Vs. Kavar happens to be one of my favorite characters in Kotor 2, he was your old friend and felt the worst when it came to the decision. So glad to see Kavar in a versus match, Idk why but Vrook vs Rahm Kota or Qui-gon Jinn or hell a three way battle would be epic

Ok firstly can I just say that this was an amazing matchup between Kavar and Antares Draco. Your breakdown of their respective abilities was amazing and I felt like no stone was left unturned. Secondly, not only did you mention but also gave examples of the Force Forms in use. In fact your mentioning of Darsha Assant’s use of Force Mastery reminded me of another possible example: the confrontation between Darth Xedrix and Lord Scourge in the Revan novel, in which Xedrix puts on a big show to try and intimidate Scourge only for it to backfire on him when he uses up almost all of his energy in a single demonstration.

Maybe I should start reading Legends comic books now. Edit: Okay, my comic book store doesn't own any of the Legacy comics so I had to learn more about Antares Draco on the star wars fandom. Now let me just say that Antares Draco is easily one of my favorite Legends characters in all of star wars. This dude oozes levels of badassery and I can't believe this dude never got a solo series about himself.

So, Kavar could be considered a more balanced out, Light Side-leaning Sora Bulq who values both lightsaber combat and Force powers, whereas Antares is a young Battlemaster in the making. He's an excellent fighter, likely a Tier 3, but given he's only 25, he could still has a long road ahead. Not to mention, the Imperial Knights focus more on lightsaber combat and utility rather than more varied and exotic Force powers, so that inadvertedly hampers his potential a bit.

I thought the verdict was sound with both characters being given proper justice and respect that they deserve. Also correct me if I’m wrong but I believe you are the first person to ever use Draco in a versus series which makes you his originator hopefully more versus series creators will see this and use him as well. Sylvar Vs Aryn Leneer would be interesting. Sylvar acquitted herself well against Exar Kun and Ulic Qel Droma in addition to her other victories, and Aryn Leneer managed to hold her own against Darth Malgus twice.

I disagree with Kreia's attack on the masters being simple drain. If you play KotOR II with the Restored Content Mod, there is a lot more dialogue (still considered canon to the game by Chris Avellone), Where Kreia explains what happened to the Exile at Malachor V, then tells the masters to "see the Galaxy through the eyes of the Exile". To put it simply, Kreia recreated the gut wrenching echo from Malachor V, forcing the masters to make the same choice that the exile did: the Force, or life. Surik chose to give up the Force, saving her life. Kai-Ell and Vrook chose to hang on the the Force, and were completely annihilated as a result (selecting their bodies prompts a text that reads the bodies as absent of everything). However, SWtOR confirms that Kavar DID give it up, and lived on as a ghost tied to the academy. Other than that qualm, your analysis was excellent., you got my subscription! Will Sigel Dare be featured? She is a badass. Remember that time when she soloed Wulf Sazen and Shado Vao?

Watching this video got me thinking. Could the lightsaber creation process that an Imperial Knight goes through be the equivalent to the old Jedi Order’s Trial of the Spirit? If they learned how to create lightsabers from Palpatine’s book of anger, it is more than likely that the crystals would emerge as Sith synthetic ones that a Knight would then purify with the light side of the force resulting in the white blades. Sorry Ahsoka, the Imperial Knights did it first.

Ahsoka was Clone wars and rebels era which was before Luke Skywalker era. Luke Skywalker era was about a hundred years before Imperial knights. Ahsoka WAS first

@@kwekuaning I meant in terms of publication. The Imperial Knights first appeared in the Legacy series of comics that began in 2006 until around about 2011. They appeared at least 2 years before Ahsoka did in TCW and a good 8 years before Rebels (when first see her white lightsabers) began airing. But yeah chronologically speaking you are correct, Ahsoka would have been the first to purify a lightsaber crystal from red to white. I think in another novel Jaden Korr purified a red crystal into a yellow one.

It’s literally not even possible for Kavar to have fought in the Great Sith War. He’s 40-45 years old at most; he would’ve been BORN during the Great Sith War, he couldn’t have fought in it. It ended possibly before he was even born Also, form 7 is not “strength based” and it is not the most “physically demanding” form at all.. Form 5 is; stated in literally countless sources. Form 7 is about overwhelming speed, not strength. Form 5 is about overwhelming strength…. Also, Draco’s style is actually noted; he utilized forms 6 & 7.

Form 5 is not about strength. It's about being cunning and waiting for an opening. Form 4 is about strength and speed. Also, Form 7 IS the most physically demanding form since it's all about pure offence and breaking the opponent's balance with a chaotic and powerful display.

@@vetarlittorf1807 lmao. Kid, form 5 IS about strength. You just proved you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. There is a REASON every single physically imposing figure is a form 5 user. Like it’s LITERALLY DIRECTLY STATED that form 5 concentrates on strength and power attacks and turning an opponents attack back on themselves. Turning defense into MORE offense. It’s the most physically demanding of all the forms. That is clearly stated multiple times in multiple places. Actually READ a thing or two. You very clearly haven’t.
