He does a month of plyos to utilize block periodization to maximize the realization. The only problem is if your not well conditioned and not already strong enough, you run the risk of over stressing your tendon. That’s most likely why he goes to only 3 days of jumping rather than 5+ in elite D1 programs. That may be a problem depending on some people’s characteristics and may actually not be enough volume for more well conditioned athletes. The one thing is to be careful of using a full 12 month program that forces you into a periodization model. If you’re in a competition phase it may be completely inappropriate stimulus for that moment. Elite athletes training 5 days a week can need a new periodization focus every 2 weeks and it’s not universal what they will need

I think that the biggest issue with all these programs is that they are premade for the population. However, 1st of all not even all gyms got all the necessary equipment which is huge issue esp now in the covid time. 2. most of them are designed for basketball players, however not all of us are playing basketball, for example im playing beach volley. 3. Everybody got different body structure and weaknesses, even if i really like some of the KOTG's excercises i even cant make some of them correct and dont feel like ill be able to do them somewhen. For example my back is weak+not 100% correct shape and i feel that i need to work much more on it to prevent injuries, be able to play longer and recover easier and not at least even to reach my max possible vertical. Another issue is that i love to do some other excerses and to play as well and at the end there is not enough energy for all of it. So basically what im missing so far is a program, that firstly adjusts to the buyer's goals, equipment and weaknesses and i would love to buy that, as paying 100s of USD for a program that i need to think how to readjust is disappointing. GL.

In phase 4 there’s a BB RDL at the end of the plyo workouts so it’s not exactly completely without weights but yeah it was weird with almost no weights during the whole month. Though I will say phase 4 is where I saw the most gains, my vert went from 38-40in in that month. I think the next time I go through the whole program I might add in some other exercises like heavy power cleans or something like that to phase 4. Since you have the whole vert code elite program i think it’d be dope if you could make like a supplement program of your own for the VC Elite that has like really good mass and strength-gaining upper body lift days for the Tuesday/Thursday core days and also suggestions on more lifts you could do during the phases where’s there’s no much lifting. Like almost combine what you know about THP Strength, VC Elite, and upper body size and strength building into one super elite program. Maybe reach out and see if you could get a partnership or something with them so they can promote it on their pages and you can blow up

I'm assuming the no weights month is for specificity. If you want to get better at jumping you need to jump more. Obviously, that's super simple, but check out some of "jump science" on ig his work goes over how ditching lifting sometimes can be super beneficial. Your body adapts to what you do, and lifting weights are so different in terms of RFD, velocity, and elasticity. In terms of injury reduction and pure force production lifting is needed most of the time and needs to be the focus on some mesocylces. I think " jumpscience" has some articles on it. This is just me thinking and reading some experts talk about it.

Wow thanks for the honest and detailed review, highly appreciate how objective you asses these programs. One nerdy question: does the program diferentiate between one foot or two foot jumper? One foot jumper myself, i was just wondering because some of his exercises seem to be highly specific for the two foot approach, would you agree?

I used to have some starting strength and experience with jumping (previous vert was 24-28 inches and deadlift was around 225), however because of quarantine I have regressed substantially enough to say I've lost a few inches in vert and have gotten somewhat weaker.
