LegendsNeverDie literally Jumping a lot, wether it was trying to beat my personal best, dunking on a lower rim, or just playing 100% and practicing my athletic layups, I feel this is the best way for a basketball player cause now I have a huge vertical advantage over most people and if they out jump me my hang time destroys them, I’m a 5’0” freshman and I haven’t been blocked once since I improved my vertical I primarily drive cause I’m too fast for anyone to guard me (came from jumping I have foot problems and am technically not even supposed to run let alone b-ball so i never traines for sprints) than I do some D-Rose stuff. Once i even just waited for the defenders to land before I shot even tho I jumped first

Hey guys! Want to get an idea if you will be able to dunk after 8 weeks of Vert Shock? Then check out my detailed Vert Shock guide here: bit.ly/1UphMXY I have also coded a little tool I call the "Vert Shock calculator". You just put in your current vertical and your standing reach and then you get an estimate how high you will jump after Vert Shock and if that will be enough to dunk. That's also included in the guide! Check it out and let me know if you like it.

Just check out the videos that tell you how to jump properly and you form will be fixed and you'll probably jump a little higher! hey man just wanted to ask 2 things. 1 could you make a dunk video? like some trick dunks or at least dunk attempts would be cool to see what you can do now! 2. I can sometimes dunk, i got like a 34-35 inch vertical prior to vert shock do you think i could get into the 40's? Reason i am asking is cause i never got further than 2. week cause of different reasons but its not really helped. i feel more explosive but i don't think my vertical has actually increased in the week. obviously i will be able to do it this summer but i just wanted to ask. also my 2 foot jumping is horrible I can tap the rim with two hands but can't even reach the rim when i try and do it with a ball, do you think i'll be dunking with an extra8 inches
@thehoopsgeek8 жыл бұрын
+Mauro Hamburg Hey Mauro I want to shoot more videos this summer for sure! If you can't jump very well off two feet than stick to one-foot jumping. This is a little bit like being born left- or righthanded, you better stick with what you're good at. I think there is a good chance you will increase your vertical jump by 5 inches if you complete the 8-week program. I myself started with 29 and ended up at 37, so if you start at 35 I guess 40 should be doable!

I play a lot of volleyball myself, especially beach volleyball in the summer when there is no basketball. @thehoopsgeek7 жыл бұрын
Unlike routines like crossfit, this program is NOT meant to be exhausting while you are doing it. So focus on really giving it 100% during each rep and follow the original rest periods. The idea is to teach your central nervous system to work at its most effective and efficient and you only train that when you give your absolute best effort during each repetition. Otherwise, you just learn how to do a lot of (low) jumps in a short time

do you think this system would work for someone who is 5'9" and a one foot jumper
@thehoopsgeek8 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Ludy Sure! You will have to work hard to be able to dunk, but you will increase your vertical jump, no doubt!
@7_k2653 жыл бұрын
If you actually used weighted training you could’ve probably done it 3 weeks or 2 weeks faster imo but you have to build up you body stronger enough so it can even handle the weighted vest

My hamstrings are still a little sore. But I won't be able to check out my vertical for 3 weeks. Have to chill at a beach in Sri Lanka:-)

+Vertshocked.com How is your beach thing going lately,Andy? For now you should be fully recovered , you feel you can jump higher than week 9? BTW I am in week 3 now

Hi Andreus! I'm in week 2 of vert shock and I think i may have gained an inch but I'm not sure cause I haven't tested. However my question is, how sore were you after doing the workouts cause I was sore but barely to be honest and I put 100 percent into the workouts. Thanks in advanced!

How did you maintain the gains after the program was completed?
@thehoopsgeek7 жыл бұрын
I played 2-3 times a week and always had a little dunking session at the end if I still had the power. That was enough to sustain the results
