How quickly and skillfully these care givers got these babies to settle. Given the bewilderment the babies must feel, the trust was evident after just 24 to 36 hours. Maybe the hugs the babies give each other are comforting too. Brilliant work and great video.

Amazing job that you all do as always. And im so happy that these 4 babies are healthy and have no real physical injuries, they may have some emotional stress of course but soon these sweethearts should be able to get an adopted mother especially Kathleen she seems little older than the others and very independent already can't wait to see them get new moms

It's been a while since I saw these Vervet monkeys, i forget just how darn cute they were are, not too different from the macaque babies❤🎉😇🥰😘😍!! I guess I'm just super partial to all the great ape babies and the macaques and all their cousins such as the Vervets and also the Gibbons!! The macaques are so smart, about as smart as the Capuchins and they are the smartest of the lesser primates! What I really love about the Vervets is how they will adopt orphan monkeys so readily. I love howonce the babies are put in an enclosure for "viewing", the mother hopefuls will line up around the enclosure to get a look see and possibly bond with one of the babes❤😇😊☺️😊😇☺️🤗❤!!! That just makes my heart melt and more so when a baby makes a choice and goes to its chosen mom and she lets that bonding process begin❤❤❤!!

WOW, 4 babies in one day! That makes for a Very busy day, but at least the little ones are in proper care and not being passed around, or no one is trying to keep them as a pet. So, at least that is something to be Thankful for?!? I do wish the babies were still with their families but they are in the next best place! ♥️ Poor little baby #8 (Paulie?). You know if he had been with Mum he would not have any ticks on him, Monkey Mums seem to pride themselves on keeping their babies clean! 😢 Babies 9&10 are definitely not twins, the little one, Mikey, looks very new, like under a week old as he still has the very pink, wrinkled newborn look, but at least he has Tufty🥹! Last but not least, Katherine. She seems to be missing Mum the most, so 🙏🏻🙏🏿🙏 hopefully she can learn the feeding cage quickly and get a new Foster Mum ASAP. Thank you as always to all of the Staff, Volunteers, and Carers, you all do an amazing job! We (my husband and I) have two years until our youngest two children are graduating from highschool then we hope to be able to travel, and one of our destinations is to come Volunteer at the VMF! I wish we were able to come sooner but we are spreading the word to our friends who are now "empty nesters"!!! Baby no. 8 (first little guy in the video) seemed to have swollen fingertips? Or is it normal, and i just didn't realize. His little fingers looked so swollen and pink beneath his fingernails, so i was just wondering. I know it could be a sign or symptom of a much larger problem. You all seem to do everything possible to get them back to optimum health! For that, i am glad! He sure was a sweet little boy!

Where do you see any diapers or clothes? This is a sanctuary for orphaned vervet monkeys in S. Africa. The orphans are paired with monkey foster moms. They live in troops in the semi-wild. They've been rescuing these animals for decades and have received recognition from international wildlife organizations. GOD created the monkeys just like he created you. As I recall my Bible teachings it read something like this--Judge years not least you be judged by the same judgement. The Mama monkeys are like so many Human mama's these days except the monkey's don't have abortion clinics on demand or birth control pills or welfare to support them. My thanks to the people that take care of the little monkies that need help, my only complaint is I cannot hear good and I do not speak or understand the caretakers language and wish they would be sure that each video has US ENGLISH CAPTIONS for reading. GOD BLESS the people that look out for the monkies, dogs, cats, and any other animal that needs help; even the 2 legged ones.

Jeeze, the lady with green nails just won’t let these babies lay still. Any more stoking and she’ll stroke their fur off their heads . They are hugging each other and look comfortable, and she just manipulates them back and forth. . She sure is not very motherly . How would she like her head rubbed non stop.

Monkey moms groom their babies quite often. She is stroking them as if grooming them. She is also checking them when she is turning them. When clinging to each other, they also tend to suckle on each others ear. So, she is checking to make sure that isn't happening either. The babies are find in her care. She has been trained and knows what she is doing.

She’s a very experienced volunteer and knows what she’s doing. As you watch more episodes, you’ll notice that the babies find the head rubbing very soothing and often fall asleep… but you’re right- humans wouldn’t like it that much😁
