OMG Your video is THE BEST one I have seen. The others did NOT show me how to take the print head out THAT is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. You explain everything so well. I was afraid to run water on anything because it is a machine but I saw you do it and felt more confident. You had the exact same printer I have, I didn't go as long as you but I definitely could not print black. All the other stores in my area had the same problem. What edible printer do you have I have an icing images one but it sucks! I can run the printer 1x per week it still clogs I have had to replace the printhead 2x already n barely printed anything from my printer! It’s WILD! Please share what printer you have that you were able to clean 2x and it worked!😀

thank you for the best instructions! My printer is fairly new but hasn't been cleaned for about a year or 2, I didn't have cleaners so I just ran that piece under hot water and I saw the clogs of color run through. Printer is back to normal now!!

At 1:26, to make it easier to move the printhead to be able to open, press and hold the stop button for 10 seconds and it will scoot over!

Thank you for your help. I got my printer clean. It says that there’s no clogs in it and I have not used my printer or cleaned it in two years and it’s working fine but I don’t use it only five times maybe in a year I don’t have a business I just do it to do stuff for my grandkids.

I cleaned and replaced cartridges. I even cleaned with the app. I have canon ts6100 series...its aligned..the lines are great....just no color prints out except black...they are in correctly and the yellow tape removed...my image is black and white with yellow...yellow is not printing.....my friend bought this for me and I've only used it a few times...I manually cleaned it....but when I replaced with the extra set of cartridges it states that yellow and one of the black was reused...and my magenta is not full even though it was brand new...please help

Okay so I changed out my ink for my edible printer. They all lit up red like they were suppose to . But once I closed it and tried to test it out,, it kept reading not recognized on one of the colors. When I opened it to see , it was the blue one that wasn't lit up. I took it out and placed it back in and it lit back up. I tried it again and still doing the same thing. Why is it only the blue one doing this? Help please!

I have taken the print head out so many times over and over and cleaned it like you showed and my colors still aren’t right. I’ve even unscrewed the 2 screws in the back and rinsed out that area..any other tips? I bought a kit and I’ve used it but could I use white vinegar also? I don’t want to use up all my edible cleaning solution trying to trouble shoot

Rinse for 15 to 20 MINUTES? Did you means seconds?

TheCmg061 no, minutes, edible ink is made of sugars so it clogs and since I had not used my printer for a long time the ink was clogged so it took 15-20 MINUTES

It's a great video, but that's not the printer I have for my edible images. :( I have the other printer... the mg6820. It only opens a little bit and I can't seem to get the printhead out. :(

I am looking to buy a printer for edible images. I make cookies. But can I purchase a printer from Walmart and use edible ink cartridges? Or is this a special kind of printer ???

you can definitely buy a normal printer and use edible ink cartridges with it as long as you never cross use it with non edible ink. The only downside to doing this is that you won't really have a customer service center to call for help. I bought mine from Icing Images. The link is my description box. I hope this helps :)

Super safe! The liquid is not toxic. Just make sure you rinse and dry thoroughly.

I just bought a Epson 3540 work force , it was a normal printer and got it at a good discount and just bought edible ink. And just found out it’s no longer food safe can u help me how to clean it to make it food safe where do I clean it out what do I use ?? I use a Epson workforce 3540 I really wanna not have to spend more then I already have (already over budget) 50$ second hand printer and 400$ in supplies for edible paint and ink and paper

The printer has to be completely new. You can’t use a printer with normal ink and convert it to edible printer. I bought mine like a month ago. I did my research and I did not want to pay to much so I got a canon pixma ts702 that cost me $80 and I bought the edible ink from Amazon $40

@@yadihaciendounpocodetodo6446 is working great. I think is the perfect printer for me right now. Like I said before... I paid $79 dollars and I bought the ink and the icing paper on Amazon. So, I paid a total of $160 $170 maximum. This printer doesn’t have scanner but for me is not a problem.

Company wanted to charge me to get information and how to clean it or get the book that came with it for the whatever they’re supposed to be a book they tell you how to use the computer but the manual and they wouldn’t let me have it and I bought and paid a lot of money for the printer and Cannon company would not help so thank you for your help

I didn't have the cleaning solution so I used hot water and a condiment bottle. I cut the tip to fit the color poles in the printer head, except the larger pole. It worked beautifully!!
