Just got some beautiful new flip-flops and remembered that you had this pattern, and I need to learn German short rows! I’ve watched the videos many times and lots of socks I’m ready❤

I LOVE watching your videos, whether I want to knit the piece you're showing, or not. I've never knit a sock in my life and yet I enjoy watching you demonstrate it. :-)

Once again, another great video Staci! Thank you for all your time and effort putting this together. I have some daughters who absolutely love their flip flops and will enjoy wearing a comfortable sock when the weather gets cooler!

I think my daughters would love these. I see knitting these flip flop socks as Christmas presents in my near future. Thanks Staci for another great pattern and video.

Hi Stacy, I do "Judy's Magic cast on" but don't like the bump of the slip knot, so I ignore that and cast on even numbers on each needle + the slip knot. When I work around to the slip knot I simply pull it free and no lumpy bump :)

Thank you for coming back with another great techniques and pattern tutorial...not that I didn't appreciate all your equipment reviews, but this is just way more fun!! Based on your review I did invest in the ChaioGoo set, and LOVE them!! Gave my AddiCliks to a daughter who is learning to knit! Also, I'm a nail polish girl, and enjoy seeing in the comments what you are wearing....you have the prettiest hands on KZbin!!

Stacy, just found out I’m going to be a grandma, I’d love to see you design some more patterns for babies....maybe some lacy bloomers (that would peek out, below a little dress), or some long sleeve, cotton onesie type shirt, or maybe something for dress up like a crown with a cape (for those that want to transform themselves into kings or queens) or a bunting (either zip up or button) for cool weather.....thanks Stacy, love your videos!

Love the project. Thank you. Question: what is the name of that measuring board you’re using? I really need one for knitting and jewelry.

Blocking boards like that one aren't really available anywhere anymore...instead, we have the option of "blocking mats" which you can find from many retailers with a google search.

My mom has something similar looking that's for sewing. It's a cutting mat for using a rotary cutter, but it's not the self-healing kind. Looks just like Staci's but also has curves in addition to the grid. Anyway, you might try looking in sewing supplies.

I’ve struggled with attempts at Judy’s Magic Cast-on in the past and while I’m making progress, I have watched this like a dozen times and ripped out a bunch of false starts. One issue for me is that in this tutorial you say “Pull out the back needle” but in your other tutorial linked for help with the cast-on you say “pull out the front needle”. I’m not actually sure which is front or back, since they are sort of stacked the way you hold them in magic loop starting position so to me “top and bottom” would make more sense. I think it should be “top” or “front”, not back? This is probably obvious to magic loop knitters but that’s not my thing.

When you finish with the CO, the needle tips are pointing right. You flip the whole thing over so the needle tips are pointing left, and the right-side of the work is facing you. With that setup, you want to pull the bottom (or the "back", depending on exactly how you have it tilted) needle long to start knitting the first round.

Why do you say Judy’s magic cast on has to be done magic loop? I do it on DPNs often.
@verypinkknits
@verypinkknits 6 жыл бұрын
For good edge tension when we're working the tippy-toe of the socks, it's easier to use the cord of the magic loop for half of the stitches.
@kyouell

VeryPink Knits my trick is to make sure I wrap so that the stitches are mounted backwards so that first round can be knit through the back loop. Using dpns is no sweat then! Of course, your way makes a tutorial that's more likely to be understood by a wide variety of skill levels.

I bought the pattern and don’t know where it went on my phone. Is it in my Ravelry
@verypinkknits
@verypinkknits 8 ай бұрын
If you were logged in to Ravelry when you purchased, the pattern will appear in your Ravelry library. Additionally, a download link was sent to the email address you have on file with PayPal. If you have any further questions, you can email me directly at staci@verypink.com. Sometimes KZbin doesn't send me notifications on comment replies, so if you continue to reply here, I might not see your question. :)

Hi Stacy! Thanks for your tutorial and pattern. :) Are the Chiaogoos you use in the video the 4" or 5" circulars? Thanks!
@verypinkknits
@verypinkknits 6 жыл бұрын
They are the 4" circulars. A little more difficult for some folks to handle over the 5", but short enough to accommodate cords to make 16" circulars.
@eugeniaroca

Yes, it takes a little more time to get used to them, that's true, but it's a better choice if you can only afford one set. Thanks!

I love a toe up sock! Quick question...at any point can these socks be knit two at a time? Thanks!
@verypinkknits
@verypinkknits 6 жыл бұрын
Yes - if you're already comfortable with knitting two-at-a-time, you can start knitting both after you finish the toes.
