i've found the easiest way to answer the question "what is a woman" is by saying "anyone who identifies as a woman". Most of the time people hit back with "okay cool so I guess I'm a woman now" and I always say "cool congrats on the start of your transition I hope it goes well"

People like this make the whole religion look bad. I remember hearing a story about a woman who came out as gay to her friends from church, and was basically ostracized from the same friends, people who she thought she could trust. She ended up finding a community of Christians who supported LGBT values, but it's still sad to think that there are so many people who endure hardships from their community because of something they can't change, their sexuality. I knew a lot of trans people in high school, and I wouldn't ever say that they weren't a man, or not a woman, because of their biological gender. The fact of the matter is that they were not comfortable in their bodies, so they underwent hormone therapy. I would never want someone to feel so uncomfortable with themselves just because "the bible says so ☝️🤓" because that's cruel. I thought the bible was about love and acceptance?

For anyone wondering: a modern, trans-inclusive definition of a woman is "an adult human who identifies on the opposite end of the gender spectrum from a man." If your response is "define men" then it's the same definition with woman switched out. If you argue that that doesn't really define either one, there are a lot of binaries and spectrums that have their endpoints defined by their opposites, such as light and dark.

Woman is an anthropological, sociological, and psychological concept (and probably other fields too), and it has different definitions in all of those fields. Because of that, you have to ask a person who's an expert in one of those fields what they believe a woman to be. For me, I have bigger problems than what someone else chooses to identify as. I simply don't give a shit. The biological concepts are female, male, and intersex. Even those can be kind of rough, and the definitions change wildly depending on organism. As a rule, the male has something analogous to sperm, and the female has something analogous to eggs, but that's about as far as those definitions go. In humans, female and male are pretty easy to define, and intersex is anyone who doesn't fit neatly into one of those categories. Basically, it all comes down to the difference between sex and gender. Essentially, sex is a biological concept (female, male) and gender is a sociological, anthropological, and psychological concept (woman, man). If it's not something you've explored before, it's really hard to wrap your head around, and I totally get that. If you look it up on the internet, there are other people who can explain it far better than I'm able to.

Where I believe Dr. witnesser to be wrong is that transgender people "identify" as a woman. Heavy on the identify. They are in no way saying they were born as a female but just that they are more confident within themselves when they act or dress more feminine therefore identify as a female. Most people would say the definition of a woman is defined by their genitals, if a man transitioned and got gender affirming surgery then by dr.witnessers definition and others, that person would be considered a female. People are ignorant and don't want to look into subjects and really think about them. No question ever has one solid specific answer that can be fully backed up. Let people live the lives they want and you live yours.

I 100% understand why people take phones at events, but at the same time i kinda feel like im back in middle school. It feels like im being treated like a child. I know a lot of people photograph/video stuff so you have to play it safe but idk to me it just rubs me the wrong way. Like im an adult, i should be able to take my phone where i want. So i understand both sides, but if i showed up somewhere to see a random comedian i didnt really know, i would probably leave on principle if they wanted my phone. Especially if you have any kind of possible emergency at home. (Kids with a babysitter who needs to be able to contact you, a loved one in the hospital, a sick pet, idk there are just so many valid reasons to have a phone on you)
