I know, a year late lol. I honestly impress myself sometimes. I think part of it is we pay special attention to what we want to do in our career. There are shared concepts between small and large animal. Diseases can be categorized bacterial, viral, congenital, digestive, neuro, muscoskeletal. You’re also progressing through years of training and will continue to learn as you practice. I mean you wouldn’t typically have traumatic riticulopericarditis (hardware disease) as a top differential to a cow’s abortion, i can think of several reasons why but it wouldn’t be my first assumption when I’d hear “my cow just slipped a calf.” Plus so much can be ruled in or out on history and clinical signs alone. 70% of cases I believe? I guess yeah we do remember a lot. We get good at thinking of a list and try to narrow it down to the most probable causes. We have the diagnostic tools to help. And we can’t be afraid to research or send something off to get the answer.

Of course, just think, it's a little prick to save its life :) I have owned horses all my life and they have hardly ever jumped or have been in pain after a visit to the vet :)

This gives me crippling anxiety, idk how i'm going to deal with inyecting and similar stuff that gives pain to the animal, I can't handle giving the animal pain even if it's for it's own good, I'm going to have to mature this about me or else i'm screwed.

Well, there are some exotic animals that are also large like horses, such as pygmy goats and zebras. :) It's useful information no matter what you do with your degree! I'm Pre-Vet too btw.

I will never work with animals, because doing that is making money from them and thet is freaked up. Also lifestock is treatend like machines.

I think saving lives of animals is necessary not only for the industry's sake, but for the world's sake. For the animals sake. To do it for them. Discouraging that is freaked up.
