To answer your question at the end, Craig Morgan served in the 101st and 82nd Airborne for 9.5 years active duty, 6.5 years reserves, so he really knows what he's singing about!

Craig Morgan is one of my all time favs! He’s a veteran, a family man, down to earth and loves his country. You can do no wrong listening to any of his songs, but to note some favs The Father, My Son & The Holy Ghost ( Opry performance) Wake up loving you ( Taste of Country performance) Tough What I Love about Sunday Almost Home When I’m gone

MOMS ARE NEVER READY! We are always proud. MY 17 year old just told me she wants to join. Help me smile through it guys! All I can think is that's how I lost their dad. I'm sure he is heaven laughing at the circle we have made. Sorry in advance for the million comments in the coming year. She has a plan. I'm proud and scared to death.

My mother cried last year when I joined but in boot camp she was my biggest blessing sending me letters everyday, just make sure to be her blessing when times get hard. Mommas are always gonna be our hero’s.

Or the live performance on the Kelly Clarkson show. Blake Shelton was there with Craig, and had a huge part in helping send that song to number one. It’s probably the most powerful song I’ve heard someone preform. I honestly don’t know how Craig can get through singing the song, and can’t imagine the emotions he experiences while singing it. Hats off to Craig for sharing it with the world.

Thank you from your service. A video I would like you to react to is Ridin Against the Wind by Bret Michaels he has played several times for the troops in Iraq and some of the video was shoot there. My mom and dad were in the Air Force. Mom retired after 20 years and my dad transferred to the Air National Guard (Jet Mechanic). In fact my brother and I are the first generation in my fathers family, since the country was founded, to not serve. My first husband was in the AF. My son is planning on joining as soon as he graduates HS. I get being scared. I spent my entire life wondering if I would get notification that I had lost someone. Saying that, I wouldn't have changed anything about my childhood. I am proud of what my family stands for.

I served in the US MC from 93 to 97. I initially was going to join the Air Force, which my dad was OK with but they kept moving back my date and I just wanted to get out there and serve my country. That night I went home and told my dad I was leaving in 10 days for the Marine Corps. We went to the recruiters office and then he felt better. To this day, my dad still carries my boot camp picture in his wallet and shows everyone my picture and how proud he is of me.

He is right! The military is what you make it. Boot can be your worst nightmare or it can be one of the best learning experiences of your life. I don't regret joining the Army. It was the best decision I ever made. It taught me so much about myself and the world. Never mind the fact I got to meet and train with some of the bravest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. If you want to pick up that weapon and stand a post. Make sure it's really want you want, because while it's what you make it. It is not easy and it will ask everything of you. BillyYouSoCrazy, rock steady brother, thank you for your service.
