I too, am shocked by peoples responses. The Sherman S tear down was perfect as far as I'm concerned. Compared to any wheel we've seen in the last couple of years, the Sherman S is perfect. As someone who was on this ride, I can attest, you pushed the Sherman S just as hard as I pushed the S22. S22 failed; there was no way around it. 20:16 it shut off and would not go. If I had been on a Sherman S, I would've been more comfortable and also NOT overheated. You let me ride the Sherman S for a few hours that night and I can attest, it is a much more comfortable wheel.

For the s22 overheating: is it possible that there wasn't enough thermal paste between the controller and the chassis? Everytime I open mine there's a bit of paste that rubs away and that can make a difference after a while.

Can we get some puddle and other water testing? I want to order a second batch Sherman-s from evee's specifically (even though im in USA, Wisconsin) but I'm not sure about the water proofing for the motherboard. I thought the case for the mother board had pretty large openings for the power lines in/out that might get allot of water in the rain/snow or dirt/mud! I really want to be able to use it in the snow even if its not 2 feet of it without worrying too much! I did see videos from Wrong Way where he goes through ALLOT of snow on the Veteran Sherman without worry at all! Kind of hoping for that experience although I'm not sure if he did any extra waterproofing himself.

My question is about that kickstand protecting the battery cables underneath, Adam was even able to touch it. Do you think it's at risk? Offroading, I think it's a place where a rock could easily hit or worse, a pothole full of water?? We are used to exposed cables, but at the bottom!😳 Please let me know Cheers

An issue that is being palmed away here on this channel with logical fallacies regarding 'an outlet', just in case the battery blows - as inconsequential but in reality a potentially hazardous risk of any jagged or jutting rock completely shearing off those cables whilst riding off-road. This defective design must be addressed before releasing it into production due to the irrational placement of those cables. A bad accident waiting to happen.

@@jaiyeolaalli3885 that outlet issue was concerning the plastic vs metal casing for the batteries. I understand that point. But exposed battery wires at the bottom? That is a huge issue in my opinion. The Sherman was close to being the wheel I was waiting for.. but maybe not, just for this weird , but dangerous issue.. Hope @eevee's will respond

@@legyroquoi Absolutely agree with you on all points you've mentioned but wouldn't yet rule it out since it's a pre production wheel and this singular issue can be ammended by Leaperkim - if they accept constructive criticism and act positively in the right direction for the final production model. I hope and pray as honestly, when was the last time anyone of us ( but then again I always like to speak for myself ) ever seen an exposed battery cable on any euc in existence up till now? If this placement is 'innovative', then I truly think the world has gone nuts in accepting it as such..

Stress test going uphill is flawed. The rider on the S22 looks like 90 kg's plus. That would be an extra 15-20 kg's extra to carry uphill compared to the other other guys(who looked lighter). Anyway not interested in the S22...just saying.

You don’t want to mess w suspension settings but that’s what I’m most interested in. How well the suspension settings work or not. How stiff can it get for jumps/hard landings, what’s the max travel, can it be bottomed out, rebound settings feel, etc., etc. Need more suspension specifics. Thanks. P.S. I love my Master, it’s been a great wheel for me.

As a long-time lurker, I recently discovered your channel. I appreciate the candid manor in which you present your opinions. I had never seen a break-down like you did recently on the Sherman S - that was cool. Unless one is in-the-know it's difficult to judge what one might be getting into. That kind of in-depth video helps people decide what to do. Thumbs up I will say, if the Sherman S is the best built EUC available, I'm not overly impressed with the choice of hardware and difficulty gaining access to the wheel for a tire change. I just heard your comment on no smart BMS... I need a ELI5 for why that's important, especially in lieu of all the fires I see with EUCs. That's a HUGE BARRIER for someone like me. How do you find the public is receiving your use of wooded trails? In my time as a youth riding MTB's trail access was hard-fought with advocacy spanning decades to gain acceptance/access. Finally, as much as I appreciate the unedited style of your vids, I think many of us would appreciate some further editing/refinement to save time. At least an embedded index over the timeline so we might scrub to the parts we're most interested in. IDK, maybe you were in a rush to be the first to produce in-depth riding impressions of the Sherman S. Either way, I'll keep watching your videos!

My son got the sherman s and its the best suspension unicycle weve tried so far v13 doesnt even come close to the ride quality but I just could not justify the price when i found a low millage versys 300x for the same price, keeping my s18 molicel for a good long while though. Love your videos. Keep em coming!

Any intention to add the ability to add mods to a wheel so it ships with them installed - like adding the new sliders on the s22, or Installing a street tire on the EUC before shipping (as some people don’t have the space for a tear down. I had to go to a friend’s workshop to change my tire….then was under a time crunch and was unable to take breaks). Any reason why you’re choosing to expand to the US first before the rest of Canada which has no competition (east coast specifically closest stores are Montreal and Ontario)? I know USD is so strong….but why go to a market that already had competition when you could go to other parts of Canada where you could dominate ?

Yeah, not only most popular but most reliable. Keep in mind, 99% of our sales come from Canada and all 3 Canadian dealers sell Veteran products so I don’t think that’s accurate. I would say AlienRides are mostly a Begode dealer and that’s their target market it seems. It looks like the Veteran Sherman is also the best seller at VanEUC as well (next to the V8F).

What if your guess of $100 per side panel turns out to be ridiculously inaccurate? Unless you have had an indication of that price from Leapekim it is fairly irresponsible to guess. Magnesium is not a cheap material to work from. Motorcycle wheels made from it can be well over $1000 per wheel (Yes I know a lot harder to fabricate) and who know your guess may be right... but just coming up with a guess seems like a bad idea. It's also interesting to have magnesium near lithium ion batteries as it is flammable and notoriously hard to extinguish. The good news is that it's strength to weight ratio is better than aluminium.

Got my V12 HT from Eevees and just last week my Master 50E but may have to wait till spring to ride it due to getting a sh*t-ton of snow here in southern Alberta. Currently installing the Grizzla farings and the Clark Seat and Clark Bumper on it. Songs: Lords of Acid: Paris France and KMFDM: All Wrong, But Allright.

I’d say that Overheat Hill when tested by Marty is a lot more stressful for the wheels than Cardiac Hill. Overheat Hill seems steeper, and even if it’s shorter, Marty goes slow and at a constant speed. That creates two conditions that the wheels have to deal with: 1. Longer time climbing 2. Having to rely mostly on the forced air by the fans to cool down. I’m sure that Marty will test the Sherman-S sometime, but I don’t think that this is a real stress test, more like a light off-road test, that the Sherman-S passed.

I wondered why my S22 is so hot, too - I got 80+ degree celsius in motor while just riding at high speeds without any elevation. Sad to see it overheating during a climb. Sherman-S looking strong, but I'll wait for owners' experience through the winter - if it survives the snow and road chemicals and has no major issues, I'll get one for sure.

The inability to swap ur fave pedals... and the battery wire placement under the hanger- where water can collect. We'll see how the motor holds up. I hear they haven't even fixed the Abrams issue yet...smh But this looks promising. The more good wheels are on the road, the better the sport is in general.

I noticed my S22 uses ~600 watts if I just SIT at 45 degrees... Guessing the sherman has a heavier motor, but wish they'd double the voltage because this is ridiculous

So I've got to say you guys are great and congratulations on your expansion. With that being said, its a pretty big statement saying its the best build quality on any wheel. You should go watch Wrong ways unboxing and initial thoughts. There are a lot of design issues that can potentially be an issue over time. Also while the sherman has been praised many times over about its reliability, Leaperkim showed its true colors as to customer service. On par with Begode if not worse. In the end its one if their greatest flaws as a company. It was made extremely apparent with the Abrams. As for your overheat torture test, you guys should have done it on a much warmer day that was at least 80F. Yes I know its probably hard being in Canada lol. I think people would be concerned about higher temperatures on a steep climb more than an overly long hill climb. One of the great things that you guys do is mention and show what is actually selling well. For me its of no surprise that Begode is near the bottom. Your right on target about them pushing out their wheels too fast without regard to their design or workmanship. Keep up the good content and honesty, I just thought I'd point out some things that you touched on.

Even though this is a test for the Sherman-S, I am unexpectedly impressed with the Master Pro. It was the coolest running wheel - but what amazes me is that the Master Pro has the biggest wheel diameter, and is the heaviest - both factors working against it when climbing uphill trails (especially Cardiac Hill - the only other besides the Sherman-S that didn't beep) , but Master Pro did fine, displaying that it can handle trail riding quite well in terms of endurance. Surprised - but taking a new look at Master Pro.
