This song has grown to be one of my favourite songs. The lyrics are emotional and powerful. Sabaton actually played this song on the Great Tour. Very powerful, standing in the crowd hearing this song live. Great reaction, btw!🤘

This is one of my favourites from this album and I am so happy you decided for this live version. The engagement and rawness in Joakims voice is magnific and when U bring that together with the Hard drums and the guitars, well it hits me in the core. Nice reaction as always V3t!

Actually doing the statistics, which is disgusting, one human life was worth roughly 2 inches of ground. So no, Sabaton is right in one of their lines. "There's no Price for a mile." Not one worth paying if that's the price.

The battle of Passchendaele was an especially horrible battle, even by WW1 standards (which is really saying something). The Sabaton history video for the song is very much worth a watch and really helps giving an idea of how absolutely insane this battle was.

This album is still, to me, the pinnacle of Sabaton's abilities. That being said, there are 4 killer apps for this album: Ghost Division, The Art of War, Unbreakable, and The Price of a Mile, with their intro dialogues of course.

My favorite version of the song is the one from Wacken 2019. I think Jocke did the math in the History episode on the question; What’s the price of a mile? Quote from their history episode: 6 miles (or the maximum advance) 450 000 lives in 6 miles 75 000 lives per mile (I’m guessing it is imperial miles)
@v3tReacts3 жыл бұрын
insane numbers..
@MrCN663 жыл бұрын
@@v3tReacts (For us who uses the metric system) 6 miles is ca 9,6 km (rounded to whole numbers; ca 10 km. 10 km is 1 metric mile) 1 mile is ca 1,6 km So 75 000 lives per 1,6 km 450 000 lives for ca 9,6 km

This is one of the few songs where I prefere the "fanmade" videos. Like the one from Piscator or the one with the German kid half burried in the mud as thumbnail. More intense than any other live versions .. you missed something here V3T.. Yes, this 1 was good, but the others are better in case of storytelling ;)

It was a hard choice lol

I never saw this live version, so i was beyond happy to see it, and it does add an intensity to the sung lines that add something new for me. But yeah some of the other videos you can really feel the raw emotion better.
