The way I interpret the hospital scene is that It was a polish soldier (the same that she saved in the beginning) having his final feverish dreams of her before he succumbed. With the shot of the dead showing her among them she could not be the one who tended for him.

The situation with the Uprising was that there was so many people in Warsaw that said fuck it during the 63 days of freedom that they even made impromptu weddings and stuff in-between fighting the nazis.

Poles during uprising were using German equipment and weapons (taken from Germans). Usually only diffrence was white-red band around one arm and (sometimes) helmet. So, probably this was polish soldier in hospital. At this point hatred towards Germans was so strong that any romantic interaction with them was very impropable.

Gentlemen, they wondered if the one killed was a German. It was the Polish Warsaw Insurgent. The Polish Independence Underground, in order to standardize its appearance and lack of uniforms, often obtained German uniforms in various ways. During the Warsaw Uprising, warehouses for German uniforms were captured. So many Warsaw insurgents fought in German uniforms and cheles. The only thing that distinguished them were the Red and White (the colors of the Polish Flag) bands on their sleeves and cheeks. I would like to add that a large part of the music video are original films recorded during the Uprising

8:01 That is polish resistance fighter. They just used captured german equipment with polish marking (red and white stripe painted or piece of ribbon). At one point rezistance managed to capture and use german Panther medium tank (Marked with 4 red and white chessboard style squares). BTW as MD Pierce of M.A.S.H: 4077 stated: "War is war and hell is hell and of the two war is worse. In hell only guilty suffer."

W czasie Powstania Warszawskiego Amerykanie i Brytyjczycy mieli w planach utworzenie szlaku wachadłowego z pomocą dla Powstania. Loty z Francji i wyzwolinej część Włoch w jedną stronę miały przenosić zasobnik z bronią w drugą (po londowaniu za linią Frontu na terenach zajętych przez ZSSR) bomby. Stalin nie wyraził zgody na takie działania. Do lądowania gotowa była też Samodzielna Brygada gen. Sosabowskiego ale wysłano ją pod Arhem. 😢

Yup that is Peter stormere. I knew him from Big Lebowski as the devil if I recall. I have two requests: en livstid I krig (life time of war) in Gothenburg. Also Angels calling with apocalyptica. En livstid I krieg is from the thoughts and view of the soldier during the 30 years war. Recommend with the captions to translate it to English. For angel’s calling, honestly both the original works or the collaboration are great.

This one is to the content creators and everyone in the comments who are misinterpreting the hospital scene, the guy and girl in the Hospital are Polish resistance fighters who are Lovers but they both got killed in a firefight with the Waffen SS troops at night thats why they show them dying side by side and a flashback of who they are. Im guessing its suppose to show that even lovers boyfriends and girlfriends were able to put aside their love in order to fight the Wehrmacht occupiers, they put Liberating Poland their home above themselves in which they both paid the ultimate price for freedom. They did resist, however Allies did not care, whereas Stalin wanted to get rid off the Polish nationalists, and Nazis turned out to be perfect instrument. Saved Stalin the need to organize another Katyn massacre.

The British did try to help with air drops to Warsaw. Flying outdated bombers from Italy over Yugoslavia - the German nightfighters had an easy job. Read " Duel Under The Stars" by Wilhelm Jonen who was one of the German pilots. The Russians could have helped more but did nothing. Remember 1939 - 10 days after the Germans went blasting into Poland, so did the Russians!

This 8s about the Warsaw underground uprising if 1944, basically the red army was closing on warsaw, so the warsaw underground rose uo expecting the red army to come to the rescue, but the red army saw them as a threat to futer Soviet rule, so the stopped short of the city and let the germans take care of them, 90% of warsaw was destroyed in the fighting

The reason you see the Polish wearing German helmets is because the Polish resistance would often raid German supplies and steal German equipment to help the resistance. They even stole a German Panzerkampfwagen V Panther tank.

The Warsaw uprising happened when the russians had pushed the germans back towards the Polish border. The uprising was problably ment to release the front, and let the russian liberation of Poland become easier. The russians, on the other hand, saw the uprising to be an opportunity to rest the units, and just let the uprising take its toll, and se the uprising being knocked down.

It was more that uprising meant the Poles would "liberate themselves", and Stalin wanted to be seen as sole saviour to get more political influence over Poland. Thus he ordered the troops to stop and let the Poles bleed out and uprising to be stomped. Then Reds rolled into Warsaw as heroes. Red fucking filth

@@denniskasza6069 They denied use of Soviet airfields. Allies still did some drops, but flying bombers from Italy, over Austria, Hungary/Czechoslovakia and half of still German occupied Poland was too risky and costly, so eventually they ceased those supply runs.
