I began listening to Sabaton for one reason. Floor Jansen is married to their drummer. One more reason I have to be thankful for Floor. They are an amazing band. The things they do musically are inspiring. And their vocals........

Playing the Nazi commander is Peter Stormare . A famous actor who among other films is "Carl Hamilton" in the" Hamilton" action movies

According to the band he had a lot of fun in the role and pretty much single handedly saved the video. He's in full nazi uniform costume and is walking around Warsaw Poland between shoots for lols. When filming got delayed for two weeks due to a volcano and I think a prime minister's death, it was Peter on the phone with insurance to get the filming extended. Also apparently a lot of the extras are some fairly big named actors in Poland.

@@cytorakdemon It wasn't Prime Minister that died, it was a big part of the government including President and his wife that died in a plane crash in - surprise - Russia, where they were going to visit Katyń, a place where Polish prisoners of war - soldiers, officers and civil inteligencia were murdered by the Red Army in WWII. Being placed between Germany and Russia: 1 out of 10, wouldn't recommend.

If you're looking for something by Sabaton that's a bit less tragic, I can highly, highly recommend Winged Hussars (Siege of Vienna "and the Winged Hussars arrive". Another one that's just...too awesome for words is To Hell and Back (song is about Audie Murphy while the video is about his battle with PTSD after the war).

For several months I've been trying hard to put a name to who Sabaton remind me of. It's an aging British rock band called Magnum. They are also musical story tellers, but they base songs on fantasy, rather than facts. Their best album by far is "On a Story Tellers Night". Back to Sabaton, I'm with Kongsterz as an avid fan. I've a silly habit of watching several videos at once, and forgetting them. This one I've seen before and forgot every detail. So I almost saw it for the first time twice....yeah, I think that's right. Another fantastic song from the band. You just know when you see their name come up, you're in for something special. Brilliant reaction, I'm right with you regarding getting swept into to music.

An hour ago (1. August at 5 PM) we had got 79 th. Anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. The most heroic, however the most tragic spurt in polish history - City was devasted in 80%, Germans kills 200 000 civilians, and 17 000 of polish solidiers, and they eliminetaed 19 000 of Germans. I will not judge this, because who the hell am I to do this - to judge decision of people who lived in this horrible times of World War II, however we - i mean polish people - have to learn from history so that it does not repeat itself as a farce. well, at least the whole city stops for that one minute

Yea... Sabaton songs is hard.. there is like 3 diffrent options for a lot of song. The video The historical video Live. Usualy equally good. Of cause.. the live should always be watched in the right country.... ... well with exception of 82 all the way that should be watched in norway

I've seen this music video countless times, but only just now, around 6:40, when you paused it at the man and woman in bed, did I notice that the lyrics in that moment where: "It's time to rise now." All this time I had always thought that the rise, was about the uprising...the military uprising...let me dig this hole, a little deeper (yes, another pun) and say that technically since he is an amateur soldier, it's a military rising whichever way you interpret "rise now". 😆😅😂😄🤣😁 For anyone that still hasn't gotten the joke, it's a perverted erection joke. No offence. Sabaton won't be.
