Thank you so much for the castor oil info. My 5 year old toy poodle has chronic dry eyes( no tears at all) she had so many eye infections and she always looked like she was uncomfortable. For the past 6 months I’ve been putting oil in her eyes and what a difference. Started with 3xday then to 2 and now I only need to put it in 1 a day. Her eyes look so healthy and they look lubricated. She used to squint, and the light bothered her but not anymore!!! Thank you so much once again. Lynn and SKy from Montreal.

Just wanted to share that I am keeping my 16 year old healthy by feeding her Answers frozen raw food that is entirely not sterilized. They use the old process of fermentation to keep the balance of the good & bad bacteria. She's given distilled water with pink himalayan salt. I also use Four Leaf Rover supplements that are based on organic whole foods only. NO to drugs & injections. She's not arthritic at all. I also put a few drops of Apple Cider Vinegar onto her raw food. She's walked daily and she actually jogs on her runs today. I know what works and what doesn't. Thanks for listening.

I saved my 12 year old shit sues eyes with Castrol oil. And this is after the vet prescription meds made her eyes so bad he then said he had to remove them. I use castor oil in my eye for dry. I also use colloidal silver brand-name sovereign silver whenever my dog gets an infection in her eye. One drop. My Shih Tzu Eye was severely infected and ulcerated and the vet wanted to remove it..I said NO..I read up and learned …I used I drop colloidal silver followed 10 mins later by 1 drop of castor oil 3 times a day..I made a sling like vest for her to keep her from digging at her eye and gave her CBD oil for pain.. took 5 wks but her eye looked perfect 👍. She is prone to dry eye and rubbing her eyes which causes ulcers..now I use castor oil 1 drop morning and night always…

My pug was diagnosed with dry eyes. It’s been a battle to say the least! The products that the vet recommended we’re not helping I tried all kinds of ointment and a bacterial ointment and I’ve settled finally on some thing that works. A product called, “pet vision” lubricating eyedrops for dogs. They cleared up these eyedrops cleared my dogs cloudiness and cleared his eyes right up beautifully! It’s like a miracle. But after a week or two she starts to get an eye infection again. How can I stop the eye infection? I am going to try your products right here and get her immune system and check. I have noticed that along with this dry eyes she has she also has a yeast in balance in her system. I need a good homemade anti-yeast dog food! Lol What I worry about with over-the-counter products specially eyedrops is an adverse reaction.

Hi Dr. Jones! My dog was prescribed tacrolimus indefinitely for her dry eye. We have been on it since mid-June and she doesn’t like getting the drops - to the point that it seems to be making her depressed. Everything I’ve researched says it’s not for long term use and can be too toxic for dogs. My gut is telling me it’s not right to continue with the tacrolimus. Her eyes never had a ton of mucus they were just more red every so often. I really appreciate any advice you may have on the safety of tacrolimus, and whether a natural alternative would be safer for her eyes as well as her overall health and well-being. Most importantly we want her to feel her happiest self every day and the tacrolimus drops are taking away that happiness. Thank you for everything you do!!

I have a 13 year old Pomeranian named Bambam who recently started developing dry eye symptoms. I took him to the vet and was told the only option is cyclosporine which is pricey and I also don't want to have him on a lifelong prescription. I bought some organic hexane free castor oil yesterday and have used it in his eyes twice. They actually look somewhat better, but he's still pawing at them. Do you guys think the castor oil is a bit too thick for the eyes? Part of me still feels nervous about putting it in his eyes but I've read some positive reviews on this comment thread so I'm really hoping it works. My poodle mix is now 14.5 years old. I've already spent around $1000 on vet visits just for his left eye ulcer infection (total of 4 vets visits, his left eye was better after the first visit when applying antibiotics eye drops, then we went to a follow up visit, the vet did something to his eye and made it worse so I had to take him to the ER which costed me $600! Then I went to a different vet for a follow up and they prescribed antibiotics and his eye still can’t go back how it was last year )…I'm so afraid of going to the vet now. The 1st vet also charged me $50/month for an eye drop for his dry eyes without my permission , and she also suggested surgery. (Hell no!!)I've tried applying silver thing on his eye occasionally, but I'm still hesitant using it. I bought Burt's Bees eye wash to clean the discharge daily, but after one bottle, it doesn't seem helpful, maybe made it worse too! Perhaps I should try the silver liquid and castor oil, as you mentioned. Thank you!

Thank you! I love your videos 💖 In my experience, using a ceiling fan at night exacerbated my sweet Yorkie Gidget's dry eyes. She slept with her eyes slightly open a tiny bit so I started giving her lubricating eye drops just before bedtime and using a cool mist vaporizer next to her bed. What a difference! RIP, Little Gidget 💙💝💙 (10-12-21) Last month I rescued another little guy, this time from a pound way out in West Texas. I took him from there straight to a groomer. He stunk, his bones were sticking out from malnourishment & his eyes were all crusty. (Turned out his lower jaw was broken, too... Sadness 😞) The next day a vet did the 1-minute dry eye test on Cowboy & it showed basically zero tear production. *** I COULD HAVE FILLED UP MY SUV GAS TANK TWICE FOR WHAT THEY CHARGED ME FOR ONE TEENY TINY TUBE OF OPTIMMUNE!!! And they said he will need it the rest of his life?! Guess who's getting castor oil and CBD from now on? THANK YOU!!!!

Its been 3 years now one eye and lip on that side are Droopy. I feel terrible like I failed her because I couldn't get the medications to work. I make minimum wage and spent so much money trying to fix her, I've taken her to 4 different vet plus 2 specialists. Every one perscribwd something different and said what she was perscribed before was not proper. I think these people are just in it to make money and don't actually care about dogs based on my own experience. I found collidial silver spray beneficial, keeps the infection and swelling away MUCH better than anything the doctor prescribe. This upsets me so much

thanks. I have pekingese and the expensive med drops my vet gave us ... so much of it gets wasted b/c my one peke is "reactive" moves and snaps. I'm currently working on training him to accept the drops more and just using the over the counter dry eye drops.

Nothing of what I've tried so far, including Cyclosporine, has helped one iota, and we've just now started on Tacrolimus. In the UK this costs £107 per little bottle, which is dramatic. Too soon to tell whether it will work. In the meantime I've been doing some research and landed on your video. Many thanks. Have ordered the castor oil and the NAC. Elsewhere I read studies that would indicate that astaxanthin can also be useful, and funnily enough I was going to start giving Teddy that anyway. I worry a little bit about CBD oil, so will hold my horses on that one.

I just received an email from Backyars Vitality stating the following: "Amazon has decided to BAN the selling of NAC (N-Acetylcysteine)" I guess at least it is in the US. Have you heard this?
@censorthis-uu6cc2 жыл бұрын
Yep. people were using it to treat symptoms of u-know-what (successfully) - anything that competes with 'official' treatment is being suppressed. Its also good for you generally. It should be available outside of Amazon tho (Amazon should be avoided anyway).

I have a question unrelated to dry eyes. My dog is due to have his toe amputated because of a bone spur and granular tissue around the toe. It’s not healing and is red and inflamed. My question is that he is 12 years old and also has arthritis in his back and hip dysplasia. He has a great appetite beside not being able to get around due to his toe. Surgery is scheduled for Monday and I was wondering how many times his bandage will need to be changed and for how long. The office manger wasn’t able to tell me that and with this COVID and their schedule I won’t be able to speak with him before hand. Also what is your opinion on getting blood work done before hand. Do you feel that it is necessary or unnecessary especially with his age and other problems. I’m torn on what to do. Could you help me with these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

HI, yes blood work prior is a good idea for 12 yo dog. Generally change bandage twice daily. My concern with an open/not healing wound around the digit is cancer, so pleas have them submit sample for histopathology

@@VeterinarySecrets Thank you for getting back to me. He had a X-ray of the toe and his lungs and everything was clear. He found a bone spur and arthritis in the toe. The tissues I am being told is being pushed out because of the arthritis. He also has a auto immune, a form of lupus.

Hi Dr Jones My sister lives in British Columbia too. I wanted to email you but find it I wanted to know if you sell something or could recommend a holistic product. My 9 year old papillon just had a small skin growth biopsy and Vet said it is what’s called a round cell tumor. They are going to take it off but right now I give him a daily multivitamin. Do you have a product? Thanks Really love your videos and the effort you share for the health of our animals. Any thoughts on oral colloidal silver?

My dog is diagnosed with chronic Kcs and he’s been on cyclosporine ophthalmic for over 1 year. I want to try castor oil on him, how do I make the transition? I read that getting off on cyclosporine need to be tapered. Please help.
@metaphysician9 Жыл бұрын
if you read about tapering off then follow through. Watch the above video for OPTIONS that work better. My shzizhu-chin came with an ulcerated eye and a dry eye. I use "boogie wipes" clothes to gently clean ( with well washed hands) eye and Isotene drops off ebay healed ulceration in 3 days along with castor oil for lubrication 2X a day. She was a puppy mill dog and had other issues including allergies. I did take her to an eye vet but was unimpressed. The ulcerated eye cleared perfect and I am still 6 weeks in on the dry eye which is 98% better. On YT we help each other out...I totally Love Doc Jones... I will check on the NAC! There is so much Dr. Jones can 'legally" say.. THINK... or find another Vet! sheesh!
