My healthy german shepherd just started leaking pee. She gets up to go pee but there is alot leaking out. Dic says the nerve in her spine could be pressing on her bladder... she is not spayed and her bloodwork came back healthy, no Cushing's disease where the cortisol is high and they become incontinent. I just ordered De. Jones cbd oil from his website I hope it works. I'll be buying flax seed oil now as well. It will do me good as well. Did you try these remedies?

I used corn silk with my middle aged border collie several years ago and it worked quickly! I also recommended it to a friend for her old dog and she said it worked quickly and well. I bought it in capsules which I opened and dumped on his food for awhile. The problem never returned in his 18 years.

I have literally been struggkung for the past year to find solutions to increase my dogs hormone levels. Once her incontinence started at age 8 and it was due to a weak bladder. Making tea(infusion,3-5 minutes at a simmer/low boil) from corn silk is a traditional way to ingest,for humans anyway. Can do the same with nettle(could do both in same tea),or for fresh nettle cook in water,they may like it mixed with their food.(excellent for humans,too,and not just for urinary. )

My 8 year old female German Shepherd is on Incurin (estriol) tablets. I feel her incontinence is directly related to her hip dysplasia. She was horribly inbred and we rescued her from a hoarder. Even her front ‘wrists’ are turned in from dysplasia. The Incurin helps immensely. She takes two 1 mg tabs per day. If I give her less, she leaks.

My 12 yr old female Husky, unspayed, has incontinence & we’ve tried Proin but it hasn’t helped at all!! The vet said he has never heard of using HRT for dogs that aren’t spayed but she hasn’t had a heat for well over a year! She is overweight because she is a lazy girl but we’ve been working on it & she has lost about 10 lbs!! She has been overweight for about 6 yrs. I’m thinking her hormones are out of wack since she hasn’t gone in heat for over a year or more. I’m going to try one of these for 60 days to see if it helps then another if that one doesn’t work!!! Dr. Jones, this all makes sense. My question is kind of related. What would cause a dog to involuntary poop? Just like a little nugget, not an actual bowel movement. I'm constantly finding a little nugget in the morning in my dogs bedding. Otherwise, they are voiding normally with no issues.

My dog had puppies before she was adopted from a shelter. She is a sweet loving sensitive terrier mix and pees when she gets nervous. I m glad you have all these suggestions. It tends not to be a problem unless we do a vet visit or I try to get her in the bath tub. I try to avoid situations that cause it 😊. The flax and phytosteroids sound like great options. I will try to see if there is a difference since it is healthy anyway.

hi dr jones can you plz make another video about k9 loose tooth? my 12 year old has a loose molar last tooth in the right side its very small and I noticed its gray color and looseness during brushing. She has done awake teeth cleaning so all her teeth are healthy and clean and she lets me brush her too. Her left side doesn't have a last tooth either it fell out when she was young or she never had one. I am giving her supplemts for root health and immune and anti inflammatory, cbs, mushroom .. and Oregon grape. Should I also give her aspirin? I wonder if she has any pain as she does let me brush it good. It is very loose. I am scared of her going under anesthesia and am hoping it is ready to fall out. Any advice? She also has a front bottom tooth with long root that is extremely loose. I regularly test all her teeth.

Dear God, does anybody know how to stop your cat from peeing on EVERYTHING in the house? I've had him since he was 2 months old (he was feral) and he's a year old now. This just started about a month ago. I've tried everything that has been suggested by the doc and any information I can find anywhere. I love him so much and he's such a little sweetheart but his peeing on everything it's about to push me over the edge. I'm considering finding him a new home. It makes me so sad because he doesn't know anything or anybody, but me, it's just me and Theo out in the country. He wraps his little arms around my neck at night when he's sleeping and when I hold him. I don't think I would ever get over it if he was gone. I am seriously at my wit's end. You may have to transition him into an outdoor cat. If you find them a new home, people will get sick of that habit of him peeing everywhere and probably have him put down. So make him an outdoor cat.

Stop all dry food, add a little water to his wet food for extra fluid. If you can, let him go outside a few times a day. Put down puppy pads in all the places he likes to pee. Try pine litter cheap easy to use, does not stink like other litters.
