I fitted a 2kw vevor diesel heater in a MUD diesel heater box which is positioned under the cubby box. 5kw heaters are slightly bigger than the 2kw heater.

Have a look at David McLuckie on youtube, hes a local lad to me and has done some great experiments with Chinese diesel heaters. www.youtube.com/@DavidMcLuckie I've fitted a similar heater in my 110, works a treat, 5kw heater where the centre buddy seat would be and i made a custom cubby box to accommodate it. i swapped the single outlet to one with 4 on it and now have heat to the back and the front of the cab, works a treat.

I’ve plumbed mine so it blows through the original heater box.

Certainly a good kit for the money. I'm thinking you'd need a CO detector in the area where the heater is running?

Few tips if i may, Mike: Not all Chinese diesel heaters are created equal (but no experience of the Vevor brand). Weak points will be - that green fuel line is crap and will cause problems. Dont even use it. The glow plugs are also cheapo and again - worth investing in a good branded one. The pumps will likewise be a bif naff at that price. But my biggest tip is - if that truly is a 5kw unit.. it'll be too much for a landy. They need to run hot to be efficient and 5kw will be way too much for you. A 2kw would run much better and less likely to clog up (and error) because it doesn't need to shut down so often. Hope that helps. Theres loads of good FB groups that discuss these units and their pros/cons and tweeks. Also alternative controllers available (everything from remote scheduling... Wifi, Bluetooth etc). Enjoy!

In Canada in winter 5kw may be a minimum!

@@BritannicaRestorations I read that the size depends on the m³ - 110 needs no more than a 2kW - in Romania -20°C is normal and for sure not colder than Canada!

I've fitted one in a 110 ,make a steel box to go behind brake drum under middle cover and the air out is at the back of drivers seat inlet in battery box ,fits perfectly, fuel pipe drill sender unit and fit union and slide pick-up pipe through it ( top plastic type sender ) the output is 5kw max going off fuel consumption, great vid Mike 👍

I've been running a diesel heater in the garage for a couple of years, it's been great and I'm thinking of installing one in my project defender. Despite many, many videos saying you can run a diesel & oil mix I have concluded that adding oil only leads to the hassle of eventually coking up the burner.

Great deal Mike! I’ve had a few of these and they are great! Got one in my Motorhome and the Landy 110. Get rid of the green fuel line it’s useless. Grab eberspacher hard fuel line (quite cheap. Change the clamps to proper bolt type ones that hold the fuel lines onto the pump etc. I’d also invest in a mounting turret instead of the flat plate that comes supplied. Just some wee tips for you. They are great!!

Best way I found to fit outlet in fuel tank is after drilling hole tank to correct size turn it upside down, pass string through hole. Pull the string out the filler neck . Pass string through outlet ,tie a knot in end. Then pull string through hole

I used a tig welding filler rod, much easier to slide the fitting down with it's O-ring.

Those go under a Land Rover seat. Have one in each. Of mine. And they are brilliant The only issue I had was with the fuel pump. It crapoed it. But had a Eberspacher D1L1. It never missed a beat. And best of all. That ice box out side is roasting in winter just watch the ice crawl up the body work. Windows clear as a bell. If you program it it runs on about a pint all night.

Not all instructions are clearly written on how to prime the fuel line or programming remote ( pairing ) to display ( there is an upgraded remote with display ), worth a gander on youtube for that and changing other settings, as mentioned in other comment drill hole on the flat spot on bottom of tank for fuel line fitting and tig filler rod to slide it down there, I have used both types of fuel pipe, the soft does break eventually the hard pipe is better, you can get quieter fuel pumps for about £30 with built in filter you can clean, spares are readily available on the bay. if I think of anything else I'll post here.

Got my heater delivered last week it resides in the garage still sealed up etc. I have the stand alone pump that will heat the garage when needed for my ‘worms’.. I have worms… (Vermicomposting) . Been Perusing certain FB pages apparently kerosene can be used and is cheaper than diesel so that might be the option for me. If needs be I can place it in my van when needed so has a dual purpose..
