@3bugsinatrenchcoat9 ай бұрын
@@erielle_rs yeah i know ! that's why i put the edit in, i'm just bad at communicating . i'm a trans man, i've just noticed a pattern that a lot of my she/they nb friends use feminine gendered terms . it's not all of them but i mentioned it because i don't think everyone understands the difference and they might assume certain gendered terms are ok without being malicious . i commented because i dont think the creator was in the wrong for maybe using the wrong term and bc it kind of goes both ways that saying vis is nb doesnt mean they wouldnt use any gendered terms at all . but obviously you know that, so i'll probably delete my original comment . /nm /lh

One thing KZbin has been terrible for is children's programming. Previously a lot of it (most?) was done by experts and very carefully curated, despite *seeming* random to the casual viewer. A lot of KZbinrs don't get that just having a wacky character going around doing random stuff isn't going to cut it.

you remember when those weird Spiderman/Elsa videos that were weirdly sexualized were exploding on the algorithm for KZbin kids? If you didn’t hear about it at the time, that’s basically it. For some reason in like the mid 2010s, the algorithm was giving kids these *really* strange videos with random, unrelated characters. after noticing the trend, a bunch of channels started purposely making really weird “kids” content to keep feeding the algorithm. It blew up like crazy and this industry of bizarre content aimed at kids generated like hundreds of millions, I think in some cases even billions of views. I think even now it’s still kind of a problem, though not as bad as it was when it first started
@theodorelau96919 ай бұрын
They were ai generated videos which produced various characters such as Elsa and Spider-Man for children which get more disturbing ever video due to the algorithm not understanding which is kid friendly content or not. I had a media studies class which call this phenomenon “Elsagate”.

I'm really confused. Sam is on the right (to the viewer) yet here he is on the left and the name plates aren't mirrored.... what?
@Plastic_Robots5 ай бұрын
"Make Some Noise" (this show) is similar to "Game Changer" (the show where Sam is on the right of the viewer and usually standing. Make Some Noise is specifically impression prompts always, Game Changer is a new concept each show. Make Some Noise started as an episode of Game Changer and they have the same host so it can be confusing

it's kind of a logical move to make because the other two have just both said their sand castles are towers (ie the twin towers of the wtc) edit: insert also some handwavy pseudophilosophical musing about their inherent impermanence due to being made of sand etc.
