He talked like that as a kid - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3qYq5mHZd5mjdE He talks with a slightly posher accent at some points in the old tape, but he probably felt like he had to talk 'properly' for the TV, and he doesn't manage to keep it up very well anyway. He's just got a generic, middle-class, south-east England accent.

So glad that Bale is speaking with his natural accent. It always made me uncomfortable that he used his American accent during Batman interviews. Apparently he did it because he didn't want to "confuse" people... meaning Americans.
