@@elleendeavor6429 sure, you can, but you can only lighten dark hair to an extent in one session, or you run a risk of severely damaging the hair and making it fall out, we don't know for sure what happened here, they might've had boxed dye or had a product in the hair that could've messed with the results, she also said she told the lady she needed to do something to her hair to get the desired result so im guessing it's one of the two.

She's not helping herself ....look at that place,it's disgusting. She needs to make an effort and start by cleaning that place. It wont cost much money,....rags and 2 bottles of a good cleaning product. There's no way that she has many repeat customers ,again...just starting with the nastiness. It's not right to take people's money and wash their hair in a sink that's dirtier than the person hair.
@injest19283 жыл бұрын
Reviews are king in this kind of business, I think a lot of small businesses let the person not pay and just don't allow those customers from coming again. I also agree with others in the comments who say she needs to put more into the look and feel of the setting. Customers may even be happier with their hair if it's a nicer setting, it may prime the customer into thinking they are getting a worse cut if the setting is ugly.
@aveleedeleon76943 жыл бұрын
And people tend to only leave reviews when they had a horrible experience. If they just had a typical day at the salon they are not likely to take the time to leave a review. Obviously this doesn't apply to everything and it's good that there are reviews, but I've noticed that most people if they have a problem with a service or a product are quick to write negative review in anger, where as most people who are happy with the exact same stuff usually don't bother to write a positive review. This can often make something more undesirable than it actually is.

I'm a former hairdresser for 11 yrs and I have worked in okish salons and really nice salons and tbh some clients really are just nightmares. People think they can talk down to you and get away with all kinds of weird behavior because you are a service worker. Honestly it's usually older women with money. I had a lady throw a literal tantrum one time because I couldn't understand when she said she wanted her hair short but also long at the same time. I tried to show her all kinds of pictures etc and not only could nothing I show her satisfy her, but she couldn't show me an example either because the haircut she wanted "didn't exist" (her words). It was ridiculous. I am so glad to not be in that profession anymore.

I'll tell you what I love about this series, it pokes gentle fun at the proprietors in a kind way but then, in the most wholesome way, tries to understand things from their perspective. The review at the end always makes me smile after a 10 minute episode during which I laughed throughout. I love you, Taji.

Sabrina is awesome!! I’ve known her and her parents since I was a kid!! My grandparents were really close with her mom and dad!! My grandmother would go over to their shop every Friday like clock work to get her hair done by, Mary which is Sabrina’s mom!! I always felt so much love when I was around Sabrina and her mom and dad!! They are of Mexican heritage and I love that about them since I am both Mexican and White!! Mexican people have so much love and compassion, it’s part of our culture!! The shop that they own always felt so homey and welcoming to me!! And Sabrina and her mom and dad are like family to me, and they will always be family to me, no matter what!! Also, Sabrina is the best damn hair stylist I know!! She always would make me look so fly, and nobody has ever been able to do my hair the way she does!! I love, Sabrina!! She is NUMERO UNO 🥇!! ❤️🤘⚡️

The editing on this series sold me. It's time to binge-watch the whole thing. Love this guy's personality and the editing is incredibly well done. Very tongue-in-cheek. EDIT: his hair looks awesome, Sabrina did a great job! I remember getting my tips frosted back in the 90s haha, always hated how they had to pull your hair through those tiny holes with that hook. Didn't feel too good.

He's from skater culture where there's a super strong strain of attitude to not take literally anything seriously, which I think often gets mistaken for hipster irony. It seems like he's just taking that approach and cranking it to 11. Go watch him when he gets interviewed by others and you'll see what I'm talking about. I 100% don't believe any of it is "earnest geek energy" though for sure.
