It's amazing how bad the condition was in Karachi 8 years ago, and how much it has improved in the last few years. The gangs are almost dead, the target killing is almost non-existent. As someone who has lived and worked in Karachi, it was a relief to be able to walk outside without any fear. Karachi really has changed greatly in the last few years. It will probably never reach its glory of the 60s and 70s again but the beautiful city of Karachi, the city of lights is recovering.

Yes even then there was a lot of violence but equal to that there was little beautiful gems spread all over if you just knew where to look. I treasure the good and beautiful memories. Update on Karachi now (2020-2021): I was a kid at those time and used to listen from my elders that "halat kharab hai shehr ke " ( city's condition is not good) But seeing now, Karachi is recovering . Target killing, cross firing, snatching has reduced to greater degree . It's a very speedy transition but thank God being a girl I can now go around the city without a person for my protection ☺️

I'm not Muslim, but I have read the Quran and it is a wonderfully beautiful book filled with amazing stories. There are some iffy parts but same with the bible and any religion for that matter. There will always be a small fraction if people who take it to the extreme and use it for violence or their own personal gain.
