You can't really regulate it, that's the whole point/problem. Sure governments will try to regulate the on and offramps sooner or later, but that's at best a game of whack-a-mole and you can bet there'll be no shortage of countries that are willing to harbor "anonymous" exchanges in order to top up their sagging economies. And there's not really much else that can be regulated. Any fool with a bit of programming knowledge can create a shitcoin and once its created its all just bits of encrypted data flowing through the tubes. The only way to intervene at that point is by breaking the encryption and well.. there's lots of people who would love to be able to do that, since it would take down not only crypto but also the https secure internet protocol, most if not all banking software, most if not all corporate security systems, etc. Its very much like regulating personal drug use. Sure if the cops happen to catch you red-handed they can nab you specifically, but they have no way of stopping or even finding out about everyone else who might have a joint on them. They can maybe nab a dealer and get rid of an entire supply chain for a while, but sooner or later another dealer will fill the gap (a dealer being equivalent to an exchange in this analogy). And when things go international it becomes exponentially more difficult again. I'm sure lots of governments would like to be able to curtail or at least tax crypto. They just don't really have a way to do it. A law that says "don't do that" is nothing more than words on a page without an enforcement mechanism, and so far such a mechanism is not known to be possible in the crypto space.

This is what is keeping the market going at this time and preventing a crash. How did you lose it? Hacked or Scam?

@@zakblue scam…but of course they wouldn’t call it a scam… it was a pump it meme coin and sell…then the coin was considered fraudulent and the exchange took the meme coin off for fraudulent activity since there was no company, only 1 employee and so did my investment went to $0 on this coin. The only thing, I would touch in cryptocurrency would be Bitcoin and that’s it. Just be careful on investing. Invest in what you could afford to lose. Very few became extremely wealthy.

@@Saltynutz333 yeah sorry to hear that. Most people I know just lose their money in crypto. I agree the best idea is to only invest in BTC maybe ETH and not too much else. I know many people who have lost 'whole net worth' in crypto so you're definitely not alone.
