Certainly there's a part of him that's humble. Lee Priest made some comments a while back sort of roasting Greg for being a nobody in the sport, and when you watched Greg's response video Greg stated some interesting facts about himself and then went on to really compliment Lee's physique and career as if they were light years ahead of his own. It was a rare combination of sticking up for yourself + realism. He wasn't butt hurt at all.

I'm 62 and still bodybuild. I've been at it for decades and have had a couple of injuries requiring surgery along the way. I still love it and won't quit until my body won't allow me to do it any more. I'm definitely slowing down at this age and just don't recover as well. I still do 2 days on and one day off.

It’s amazing how much we’ve come to love Coach Greg! I remember seeing him for the first time, hearing him for 15 seconds yelling and clicking off the video saying f**k this guy then a friend said nah man give him a chance, that’s like his on camera persona he’s really a cool guy.
