I got me a small lathe a few months ago its a 24 inch lathe and u machined my first project this past weekend during my memorial day weekend i was off work for three days and i machined a complete movie screen accurate cryocan like your doing. I found blueprints online of all the dimensions and everything you need to know in order to machine all the parts. All i have left to do is assemble everything and make the vials of embryos to go in it and finish making the barbasol can to the right specs for it all to go inside it and work and look accurate. If anyone on here doesnt have a mini lathe and likes to make movie prop replicad and model building and making things its a must. My 24" one is big enough to make just about aby model parts or movie prop parts i would ever need and if i need to make a big oiece i can just nake it in two sections or three then tig weld it all together and grind and polish smooth to look like a single piece. I paid 560 dollars for the lathe new off ebay where a lerson neber used it and it came with tons of tools and chucks for it as well all brand new neber used and tons of tool steel stocks to make cutting tools and threading tools and other tools that you could need using tool steel stock. I got my vertical mill off ebay as well used for 200 dollars with different collars chucks tools drill bits and other tools as well. Keep eyes out on evay and FB marketplace once in a blue moon you will find machining tools and machines for sale very cheap and thats how i built my little own personal mini machineshop. I also use stuff from harbor freight like thier beed roller works great for aluminum sheets and making pannels for stuff and doing all the bead rolls and stuff like thst your self and even cut it with the beed roller if ypy want to. Thier mini lathe is actually really good as well same as mine except mine is a little bigger. But most of my power tools and vices and drill press all came from thier except my air compressor is a 1968 model gigantic one that was built for painting cars at autbody shops and ots a work of art and beautiful hand made American craftsman ship it hasnt been restored but runs flawless and never once failed on me ots massive and heavy but is an amazing poece in my shop.

I'm really curious where you obtain such accurate specs to do this build. Its as if you had access to the screen used prop or to what the paragonfx guys were able to get their hands on. Fantastic build. I would love to see a modification making it actually screw attach to the inside of the can at the top just like the real hero prop. I'm amazed you have screen accurate labels. What was the sacrificial can you used that doesn't have the beveling at the top?

The barbolsol can did not make an appearence in any of the other jurassic park films and no mention of it.

Did the screen version have the pathway cut into the lower? And the hole/set screw in the grip? I cannot see anywhere that shows these features in the movie.

Can you you make another one that can actually function like it the movie with the shaving cream and all
@chexnfx716111 ай бұрын
Not possible. Needs to be pressurized for the cream and you need the can to hold the components lol

It can't dispense shaving foam so it's not "screen accurate".
@chexnfx716111 ай бұрын
The prop used didn’t also have foam lol. Was cut and real can put in for that shot
