Victim has $4k stolen after being followed from ATM, held at gunpoint in Culver City

Investigators say that two suspects followed someone from an ATM and approached them at gunpoint a short distance later as soon as they got out of their car on Saturday.

Who withdraws $4000 cash from an ATM? Ive never heard of an ATM that will give more than $1000, and even that is more the exception than the rule.

Hmmm. The most an ATM will dispense is 500, so a person with 3500 went for 500 more? Somebody knew this person was on the way to spend a lot of money and / or set them up.
