Keith always enjoy the Creative Work Holding 101 type videos, I file these ideas away in some dusty moldy corner of my memory as you never know when one will come in handy and it is so much easier if you have a starting point. Thanks Keith I am sure this and many other tips like this will come in handy at some point to not just me but to many other folks as well.

Getting moldier in there every year. Past 70 you get Some-Heimer's, some of the time you don't have a clue why you walked to where yoiu are standing. Bettie Davis said "Getting old ain't for sissies!"

Nice, I'm not into vintage machines / stuff so much but really like watching your work as there is very good info that relates to things I'm working on. Better entertainment / education than cable TV. Two thumbs up.

People often come to me and want a small part made and of course they are horrified when I tell them how many hours and how much material it will take to do the job. If they could see the time it is taking you to do this I think they would understand. Keep it coming! All the best! Mike

Love it. Can't wait to see how you handle the inclusions in the dials. I've already watched the latest episode.

Very simple yet functional fixture! I was expecting you to just use your last word indicator to check that back face but you went the cooler route. :-)

Thanks Keith for the great series. I was interested in seeing your 4 Jaw scroll chuck. I've got a Bison 8 inch 4 Jaw scroll on my lathe and it's the most accurate of any of my scroll chucks so I use it a lot for everything except when I need to turn some hex stock. Thanks again.

Keith Silly me I would have just used the bolt and not machine the bigger face for it to ride on Actually that's what I did wrong and ruined my dial upgrade project I'll get it right one of these days I just have to keep practicing

Keith… just like I said to Adam, the wife’s watching football, but I’m watching you. Adam got his vid, out a bit before you did today. So far, you both are the only ones that did. Nice set-up on that jig there. I want to see that “faux vintage brass” on that vintage safe. I know it will look suburb. Your brass will be on display for all eternity; Adam’s will be hidden, but no less beautiful. Thanks, Brad

Hi Keith. Your videos are excellent in quality and content! Thanks for your efforts and appreciate the time you spend making them. Your channel is way on the top! If it happens that you would find inclusions in the casting during machining, will you braze them? Or got some other tricks in your sleeves? Maciek
@mcotherman595710 жыл бұрын
***** Keith, the inclusions/voids on the dial. If you TIG'd them with brass rod and filled them and then clean them up, you probably wouldn't know they were there. Just a thought.

Thread cutting that bolt....were you dropping in and out of the lead screw or something different?
@ckm-mkc10 жыл бұрын
you can probably fill the pits in the casting with bronze rod using flux & an oxy torch. I presume you are getting these chromed, so color matching is not much of an issue....
