The fact that this man was in the spotlight for about 30 years and without any incidents involving his relationships prior to meeting Amber Heard, I believe truly says a lot! I pray the jury will see through AH's lies, deceit, cunningness and see the evil succubus that she is! I haven't had a chance to watch his testimony yet, I paused the video to leave this comment. But I pray that Johnny will receive his well deserved and long overdue justice because my heart truly breaks for this man. You can see the pain in his face, especially the eyes, of what he's had to endure these last 6 years or so from someone whom he loved and gave his heart to, only to be treated with such cold, hateful, manipulative motives and a broken heart. AH is nothing but an opportunist at its finest. She used Johnny for money, fame, and ultimately -- for power. Which sadly that has worked in her favor. Someone commented on another video saying how much Johnny has aged in the face due to the stress, the abuse, the plain evilness from AH. I've been having these awful feelings that even if he does win his case, the fact he's had to be completely vulnerable and reveal just about every single aspect of his personal life to not only the court, but to the entire world who's watching this is very demeaning, because let's face it, Johnny has always been a very private man that has shunned away any attention and always hated any notoriety. He has always been very humbled and my heart hurts for him because not only is he having to retell the abuse by the hands of someone whom he loved, his wife...but also having to reveal the trauma of abuse by the hands of his own mother, whom he loved as well. You know this has to be very torturing and very triggering for Johnny. So again I just pray this trial doesn't get the best of him and that the love and support from his family, friends, colleagues, fans, etc will continue to sustain him in a positive way. Like I said, I will continue to support Johnny.

I commented on another video that I did some searching from 2017 - now. I pulled up candid videos and stills from 2017, and then compared it to video and stills of him walking in his suit, with his attorney now after a day in court. Wow. :(. It’s so heartbreaking. He has aged 20 years. It shows in his face and his body. He’s gained a great deal of weight, his shoulders are rounded downward as he walks… it just causes me to want to somehow protect or envelope him in quiet and safety. That dude is a fighter. He is quiet, compassionate, introspective, a deep thinker, generous, forgiving and loving. AND talented. Jordan Peterson says that to be realize that’s humans can be malevolence, and to be open to the possibility of love regardless, is courageous. It’s not naive because you are not unaware, it’s not foolish because you make that conscious choice to have faith, and it’s not callous because you haven’t become cynical or given up on humanity and the possibility of love. You have been brave enough to know, and yet NOT give up on humanity. That’s Johnny. He’s courageous. I hope the love of those closest to him will help to carry him through this process to its conclusion, and then maybe, he can finally rest. He will know that he “had his day”…his chance to be heard amongst the tangled vagaries of this situation. This is his moment - an opportunity for vindication, redemption and dignity for his reputation. He deserves that and he would want Jack to see he fought for that. He stood up. He walked away. He attempted to move the bad chi around or past him. (AH) When none of that worked, he tackled it head on. Bravo to him. He has so many fans cheering and praying for him. Hi Leah, I think it's also Johnny's healing. All his life he numbed his emotional pain. When you are using something to numb your pain you can never learn any coping mechanism or you are not able to solve your problems. He had to meet her, so that he can turn around and show his weakness, what is actually his strength. He has probably wished that his father never left, that he would have turned around and would have been able to stop his mother of abusing him. That he was able to do that, makes that he has more healing, integrity and strength. His problem is solved.

I found his testimony, thus far, incredibly difficult to watch. My childhood was filled with abuse, so much so that I’ve lived my entire life under the shadow of C-PTSD. It’s coloured my life, there isn’t a week, a day, an hour, whereby the trauma I suffered as a child hasn’t participated in my actions, responses, behaviours. Unlike Depp I’ve never used substances in order to calm the thoughts, feeling, flashbacks, a myriad of pervasive response to imagined threats. It’s exhausting; much of my life I’ve dissociated in order to function - though like him my goto autonomic response is ‘flight’, and if that’s not possible it’s ‘freeze’. Watching someone sit and try to share their underlying, historical trauma was uncomfortable to the extreme. I struggle to talk to therapists in a closed environment, to talk to the entire world would be, simply put, torturous to the extreme. Knowing that his experiences are going to be pulled apart at the cross examination point makes me feel sick, for him, for everyone that’s ever experienced the same because I know that it’ll cause additional trauma simply because he’s trying to express an unimaginable period of time that should never have happened. To think that this has been caused by false allegations, to be exposed to such an experience, it’s mind blowing, beyond cruel, and I sincerely hope that, once it’s concluded, Heard is held accountable for every wrong, for every falsehood, for every last cruel action that she’s rained upon him. This really is about more than just Depp and his experiences, it’s every traumatised child that’s never had a voice, every genuine victim of domestic abuse, every victim of pernicious false allegations.

I agree with Chris on the order of questioning. One thing I’ll say is Johnny seems consistent with what the marriage counselor said. She mentioned he’s quiet when he feels uncomfortable, but once he’s able to open up, he can talk a lot. I also thought how he talked about his addiction and drug use was really good. One of the biggest take always from that moment was him implying he wasn’t ever addicted to other substances but that the one drug he did get addicted to was something he was prescribed for an injury. So basically other drugs he used occasionally but the prescription, which he used for an injury, is what got him. Even how he talked about the text messages. He expressed regret in how he expressed himself in those messages but was just trying to get his message and emotions across. Johnny actually seems very shy in comparison to the guy people think he is. Basically Johnny vs Johnny Depp. He just doesn’t seem like someone who’d do the things Amber is claiming. As for the Pirates films, it was interesting to hear the background of how he basically created Jack Sparrow.

I saw a taped conversation, when Johnny asked Amber not to go to court, and it was amazing that all of a sudden he realized that she is a narcissist, and told her: "Oh, my God, you are an imagination in my head. There is nothing inside of you, like a shell. Let's go to court!" In his statement in the court you can realize that in meeting Amber, he met his mother again. And he has to deal with the situation of the past now. Amber is playing the victim. There is nothing authentic coming from her. It's all her game! It is obvious that it is important to him to restore his reputation not only for him, but more importantly for his family. Johnny, you got this!
@WorkersUnited1112 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't feel like he's won this in the court of public opinion (going by mainstream media articles.) If Depp can't prove libel (which is really hard), then you can be sure all the mainstream media will be reporting "Depp LOSES case... etc etc"
@cdcdogs49612 жыл бұрын
@@WorkersUnited111 I honestly have no idea how to respond (had no idea anyone cared about my opinion 😁) but I can tell you I have zero faith in MSM. I’m basing my theory/opinion on information I’ve gathered from listening to a couple of attorneys discuss the legalities of this case today (after Johnnys testimony). Speaking from personal experience it is really disheartening to watch someone’s hard work and entire life go up in smoke because of a lie. Here is the good news… It’s not our problem. 🥴😁

Another comment. I had no idea he had such a tough childhood. It explains quite a bit. To be raised by an abusive, narcissistic Mother and a passive Father left Johnny susceptible to experiencing the mid life crisis he went through and also very susceptible to getting involved with the type of woman that Amber is being described as. (Narcissistic, controlling, cruel, with some type of personality disorder). Poor guy. He made some poor decisions and has/is paying for it.
@hannaz46172 жыл бұрын
But it's also it's healing. Remember he always numbed his emotional pain. This time he turned around and confronted his perpetrator. Not like his father, who left and letting his mother abuse him. He wished his father would have been the one who would rescued him. In the moment when he is showing his vulnerability to the world he is recognizing his inner strength. That will heal him forever, he will have an integrated and complete healed personality.
@daleswain95202 жыл бұрын
The father wasn't IMO just passive; he too was dealing with the abuse of his narcissistic wife. I know based on my own experience, the rule in narcissistic abuse recovery is... do not engage with them no matter how much they bait you; their goal is to make you look like the crazy one. However, there is no win for the non-narcissistic person in these relationships...well until they leave the abuser and go total no contact forever. :(
@hannaz46172 жыл бұрын
@@daleswain9520 Thank you for your explanation! That makes complete sense to just cut off the abusive relationship. In JD's case the father left, but he should have taken care of his kids, because he knew that the mother would abuse them. JD must have also felt abandoned from his father. When you have a narcissistic mother you are looking for protection and safety. I bet that he wished his father would have protected him. I always felt, that he has sadness in his eyes, especially when he was young.
@estherg71282 жыл бұрын
Understanding his childhood now, it makes perfect sense how he on a subconscious level selected a partner like his mother. We tend to repeat surrounding ourselves with people that are actually similar to those most influential roles around us as a child. This is because somehow we feel most comfortable with that, even if it is toxic. Also, we seem to repeat similar episodes because on a subconscious level we want to fix the past by having a different result. He inadvertently found himself with an abusive narcissist like his mother and tried to right his father's wrongs by staying and tolerating the abuse.

Some may not have liked the way JD testified, but not once did he sound rehearsed. He came across as genuine. Also, what I found interesting was Scamber's body language/facial expression. Victims that have been brutally abused usually don't present themselves the way she did/does.

The 1 thing I've always loved about Johnny is his consistency. Like how he had always said that he's never watched his movies because he hates to see himself on-screen, and that's the kind of person he always comes across is that he doesn't see himself as anything other than a down to earth person who doesn't see himself as anything like all his fans sees him. He's just Johnny. I honestly think he's decided to come across as himself and obviously hasn't been reading a script,. She had 100% been taken the of out of by turd, all those friend that took advantage of his kind nature by living in his houses totally rent free. And the cheek of them to let others live there without his knowledge 😱 That's just beyond a joke

I thought it was genius! So much testimony so far has told of Amber being quick fire with her speech, demanding answers fast and getting frustrated with him taking a long time to respond to her during arguments and this just brings to the fore that Johnny has issue with fast paced speaking and how it would be very difficult to deal with someone who was angry and speaking at him fast, thus walking away instead just like his father. Genius. The press have taken plenty of excellent soundbites too if you read the headlines this morning. Really genuine, loving and so aware of his family and friends. What a generous man letting so many people live in his properties rent free too. His account of meeting Amber was very sweet too.

I have to say that I agree with Mr.Melcher that Johnny fixing it so that she wouldn't have to get naked and just make it an implied nude scene shows a level of respect he showed to her as a woman. That went a long way for me, even tho I'm already team JD. Also, I felt that the fact that his father never laid a hand on his mother through all of her bullying and abuse but rather would stand there and take it and not even speak was also a big telling moment for JD. We see similar behavior in the way JD responded to AH's verbal and emotional abuse during the audio tapes. Big W for JD and his team today. I'm truly disgusted that he is being forced to reveal private, personal and painful details of his life to the public to defend HIMSELF against HIS abuser. How she could sit there and see him go through this without stopping and just saying he wins I did it don't make him answer anymore questions is beyond me. She never loved him at all she just wanted to own him. Very very heartbreaking.

I don’t really think it would have mattered whether it was practiced or prepared. Johnny opened up slowly but surely. What anyone would have noticed is that no matter how much pain and frustration he has in his heart, he refrained from speaking Ill of anyone. Yes, it was not chronologically presented; but any one in so much pain will rumble to find the right words. Realistically when people are angry, you’ll hear profanity, rumbling all over the place: Johnny spoke his heart out. He is such a good human being that at this point he still was making sure that he chose his words, making sure that he didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings unnecessarily. God bless him and his family. And Anyone who cares for him surely hopes that he wins this battle. Not for the money at stake but for his peace of mind. He deserves this.

I currently teach inmates about substance abuse treatment along with having a child who has struggled with substance addiction, so some of his testimony really hits home. It takes a lot of courage for Mr. Depp to get in front of the world and acknowledge his struggles with substances, he is sharing very deep vulnerable feelings in relationship to his usage. It just goes to show no matter how successfully one is or how low someone my find themselves these addictions do not discriminate. Praying he finds peace and get through this time in his life. He appears to be a very genuine person and even though he is sharing some very dark parts of his personality and his life but these are the things that makes him more relatable to his fans.
