Dr. Leman is the type of grandpa, father-in-law, uncle, neighbor we'd all like to have! So fun to listen to as he's teaching you real, biblical truth.

Mr Leman, is a wise man that The LORD has taught what it means to be one in CHRIST... I hope that there were many young couples were there that are preparing to get married or are newly couples that heard the message and will truly know how GOD design marriage and teaching their children the ways of the Lord and his principles. And to encourage the older generation that it not to late to capture that Loving dream and renew their relationship with The LORD help...

In my experience women don't want a Christian man or a nice man, I was actually told by a woman that I was dating (before I met my wife of course) that I was too nice Lol, the women I've known want a scumbag who beats the hell out of them and with no job

One thing I have learned from in my first marriage. Its about options. People ask me how can she be such a bad mom. My answer is she gave herself options. same in marriage. Imagine at 2 am your baby cries after being in bed for 15 mins on a long day of work, marriage, and just life. If you give yourself an option of getting up or just 5 more minutes of sleep , what is the more attractive choice? o man lets pick sleep. now if that baby cries and you say gotta get up, you do it. Same in marriage o man he/shes in a bad mode do i have to go straight home after work this coworker (opposite sex) is so funny and is paying me attention. I should just grab a quick drink or hang out in the parking lot and just have a 15 min convo. People know what they "SHOULD DO". You have to know things that are worth while in your life are going to be hard at times. If you keep this mentality it wont be a difficult choice. You will just do it. Now I'm not saying dont seek advice or help. Videos like this are a great reminders of little things we can do to make it better. But dont ever give your self that choice of the easy road or the one at times that are seemingly nothing but hard work. Its the I don't have to put up with this or that attitude that kills marriages if one side gives up its much easier for the other side to do it too.

I think this guy is great, but I would like to hear about how to function in your marriage when your husband is verbally abusive and what to do when your husband doesn't have any sex drive?
@a-a-rondavis94383 жыл бұрын
I'm not gonna be your counselor, and in saying that, you're gonna need a Christian marriage counselor, whether it's one on one or the both of you taking it. There's so many layers to how something like that manifests, and what to do for you specifically. He could be having those problems because of his childhood, how he was parented, what events gave him that trauma, etc. That's a whole ordeal by itself. Then, for you. Put your pride away and think maybe you might not be perfect, and need to make the house a home a little more. Are you weaponizing or manipulating anything he says or does? Consultation with the Holy Spirit can guide you through everything I've mentioned and more to determine what is going on. Obviously the relationships you both have or have a lack of with Jesus will easily determine the prosperity of your married life. Be whole in Christ first, and then God will provide the mate for you. But since you're already in the situation where you're married and need reconciliation to bond the marriage together, it's not a big deal for God to mend and heal you both to better understand what that life is all about. You won't get anywhere unless you develop your relationship with Christ first. If one of you or neither of you don't have a relationship with Jesus, then I'd advise getting counsel on that. I pray that people will be available to minister to you in your time of need. Even if you both have a relationship with Jesus but is rocky, then you can easily repent of that and move forward. It takes work to consistently kill your flesh (sin nature) and feed your spirit being. Hope this helps, and may you have a prosperous marriage, and your husband becomes a man of Christ that will understand for you and provide for you in every aspect. By the way, in terms of sex, I wouldn't worry about that one bit until your lives are in order. I like to think of it like this: In order for you to have the sex God intended for you to have, you need to have every other pillar in ideal condition: Spiritual (Jesus) Physical Mental Emotional Financial When those pillars are maintained, that's when sex becomes what it was created.

As a Christian women, sadly I would not recommend a Christian marriage counselor. They have a tendency to tell the women she needs to try more and submit more. I also would not go to counseling with an abuser, I would seek it for yourself so you can learn to dismantle all the verbal, emotional, and spiritual abuse that has been done to you. Look up Leslie Vernick, she is wonderful.

somebody said 'out of ten thoughts a man has only one is not about sex'!
@a-a-rondavis94383 жыл бұрын
The "men only think about sex" myth that has been perpetuated by hurt women and lustful men has gotten out of hand over time. Even a hyper-sexual lust-filled man doesn't think about sex 24/7. A Christ-loving man will only think about sex in a Godly way and when his wife decides it's time.

This is disgusting. I got 15 minutes in and he starts mocking women when they object to him saying they have to please their husbands. When being a SAHM of young children (most likely demographic the audience described) is the equivalent of working more than two full-time jobs while he does his 9-5. Then he tries to reassure his audience that men are easy to please. Well of course they are! They don't need much because they don't DO much compared to their wives. The person who needs the least is the one with least to worry about. Apparently men want to feel needed and respected. Well if they pulled their weight at home she would feel like she needed him. She would respect him. But no, men are 4yos who shave. And it's the wife's fault for not making him feel needed and respected? Who wants to be married to a child? And what woman wants to have sex with someone who, for the most part, acts like another one of her children? You know what women find attractive? A man who consistently and voluntarily shares the burden of household management and childcare. Then she has the time and energy to enjoy sex too! There are far more women being deprived of sex than men. Check out Bare Marriage for HEALTHY marriage advice.

I just realised that this is the guy who wrote in his book that a woman's period is a difficult time for her HUSBAND because he doesn't get to have sex when he wants to, and advised women to give their husband sexual favours during this time so he remains faithful. A difficult time for her HUSBAND?!?! Because he's the one who is bleeding, tender, bloated, in pain from muscle cramps, possibly nauseous or with a headache. (Not to mention the women who get severe symptoms!) But love, don't forget to give hubby a blow job so he won't go and get one from someone else! Folks, if you've been getting marriage advice from this entitled man-child, please go and read The Great Sex Rescue.

I appreciate a lot of what this entertaining speaker has to say but he's QUITE gynocentric. Seems not have done his research on bad men divorcing good women: 3 out of 4 divorces are filed for by women. "Bad men," indeed. "If mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" is the kiss of death for marriage and unfortunately is the rule of most marriages and churches.
