Look really excellent. And the big basing style really suits the caetrati as well. Agema and V&V also do some great plastics and resin for this era - the latter particularly for command figures, which are superb.

Thank you, I did grab some Agema Carthaginians and Romans which I am very excited to build up/mix with the obscene number of extra Victrix pieces I have. I like the look of the V&V miniatures, though I am not as familiar with resin; complementing the plastics with some specialized, high quality figures from V&V is a great idea.

@busydad_painting it's what I've gone for. Mixed in a few of theirs into other units / used them for the command bases. They're actually really easy to work with. X-acto knife and superglue was all that was needed. Nice to chuck some loot ukraine's way as well. Look forward to seeing your agema guys if they are as good as what you've done with victrix!

Victrix has quickly become my favorite historical miniatures producer. I have 4 sets of their Vikings, and they are phenomenal. Same with their Romans.

Wow, four sets! The Vikings set was the first I bought, it's a classic

Lovely progress as always. You’ve convinced me that I definitely need to pick this kit up for my own Carthaginians.

Thank you, great to hear. I think every Carthaginian army needs some Iberians!

Fantastic work. I really like the way your bronze is done, has a nice luster. What is your method for the bronze?
@busydad_painting2 ай бұрын
Thank you, I use Pro Acryl's Metallic Bronze, and depending on the location/if I want to dull it a little, I put a light brown wash over it

Sorry, the dimensions for the BRB bases you use? There's many on the store page and I'd like to use the same as you have. 9.5ish cm by 4.5ish?
@busydad_painting2 ай бұрын
Yep, I've been placing them in ranks of 2 so the frontage for my blocks of infantry is about 19cm. I've been varying the depth; for my Libyan spearmen and the Iberian Scutarii (shown in this video) I used the FK&P14b bases placed 2 by 2 Thats just enough room for 3 ranks if you place the infantry close together. For a bit more space depthwise you can use FK&P14c bases or even the 14d bases (which I used for the Caetrati and Carthaginian Cavalry respectively).
