I'm ashamed to admit I'm missing out on this thing too. All I have is the Powermaster reissue. I kept missing out on this! I know a lot of people are sick of Takara reissuing this guy, but I just wish they reissued the original and Megatron one more time so I could actually buy them at SRP :(

you know it's one of those most excellent of figures a true thing of beauty...when i got into Transformers in 1984 Optimus Prime was one of the first Transformers i got i loved that toy...great review my friend.

SUPER REVIEW!!!! Would have liked you to go even deeper into Optimus' character and moments in G1 History and a comparison between him, the Movie Optimus, and current Animated Optimus, but this really is a review of the toy and not the one who made all one. Wonderful work, the wait was too long but so very worth it.

I got the 25th anniversary one because I think the colors are actually better, and it comes with a comic,DVD,and speaker box. Also, I don't really care about the smokestacks being small

i got the original g1 optimus prime but i dont have the trailor his gun or his fist my mom got it when she was 12 and she is 32 now so yee thats why i dont have the trailor or the fist but he is still cool and one of the smoke stacks is broken and his front bumper is broken too so that is the only thing that sucks about him

Masterpiece Prime DOES NOT SUCK!! Masterpiece Prime is far superior than this one and always will be. I understand perfectly that this Prime has a charm that will never be matched which I commend it for but Masterpiece Prime has way more articulation, working suspension, light up matrix chamber, and other small details. You can also get a trailer, but it doesn't open. Only the MP-04 Prime has that feature.
