So, if a drunk driver or speeder or evading or anything else does not want to pull over.....you let them go. 27 years as an LEO, this deep blue state gets dumber as it gets more woke.

@@user-lh1dv4ev3k Automatic plate readers only. And, per state law, pursuits are not allowed except for class A or Class B felonies. Stolen MVs don't fall in that category. Neither do drunk drivers. Or speeders, etc, etc.

@@heightsofsagarmatha nah. I stay the f at home these days. I didn't get beat up or nothing but I had to do a lineup in a 7-11 parking lot at around 3 AM (gandy and dale Mabry). If the victim said I was the guy then I was going to jail. I was stuck there for a couple of hours. They searched my car (without consent). It was just scary asf. There had to be at least 30 cops there that night. They were cool once they realized me and my cousin werent criminals.

@@raybay7237The purpose of QI is to prevent police officers from spending their entire careers in court. Any suit against them, and there are a lot of frivolous lawsuits filed, would remove them from their duties. I’m not defending QI for bad cops, I’m simply offering an objective perspective. The real demon of LE is the unions. If cop A files a complaint against cop B, the department will seek to either handle it at the local level, move it to IA or upgrade to arbitration. The union will get involved and their pockets are deeper than the departments’. The PBA is also a huge protector of police officers and they likewise protect the bad cops. The issue is that you can’t even blame the union or PBA directly because they are simply protecting the rights of the employee, and a lot of times, “past practices” protects the bad cop in order to also protect the good ones. The “one bad cop…. 200 good cops” analogy simply isn’t fair, because there are over 300k inter officer complaints filed each year, and very few, for the reasons I’ve mentioned, make it past the local level.

The police do this a lot. My truck was stolen a few years back and the 911 dispatchers out the wrong six digit plate number in wrong. So when they found it a banded the wouldn’t recover because the plate didn’t match. I had to call Denver Police department to have them fix it before they would recover the truck. They wouldn’t even tell me where it was at. Some of these people make big mistakes and act like there always right. I asked what if it was a stolen truck with a child kidnapped, they said well that didn’t happen, but if it did that kid might have been killed before the mistake was resolved.

The Deputy made a mistake, and absolutely should have verified the information prior to initiating a Felony Stop. And there needs to be some accountability and increased training. Some of the statements made by the Father and his attorney were clearly made with a sight on filing a law suite, which is their right. With regards to their being traumatized by having guns pointed at them, which they in all probability were not aware of until after they were detained, based on a concept called The Wall of Lights, and their backing up towards the Deputy's voice.

Es increíble cómo los policías en USA actúan ante un coche robado. Parece que estén ante un asesino en serie con una potencial víctima en el coche. Is it too much to ask that a cop know how to read an address on search warrant or know how to read a license plate? Qualified immunity was not pulled out of a rabbit's ass by the Supreme Court to excuse incompetence or stupidity.

Lawsuit. Pinellas Co. Sheriff officers need common sense in assessing " A threat" unfortunately there is no school for common sense. Too many jack boot thugs on steroids. Very foul mouths....but all this is acceptable. There in lies the root of the issue. Many PSCO officers have emotional, ego, and mental issues. Feel bad for the 16 yr old special needs daughter whom was traumatized by this incident. I mean...she's a 16 yr old girl against a gang of Sheriff's with guns drawn and a tool belt of accessories designed to inflict pain...tasers, Billy clubs, mace... These clowns are afraid? Of what? I contend at no point was any officer concerned for their safety....they just get off on horrifying innocent young girls, and her 100% being compliant father.

Cops are also human and make mistakes. However, it's never fun to have guns pointed at you. Nothing bad happened, and it definitely could have, so just count your blessings and move on.
