I've only ever played Virtua Fighter a few times, in Yakuza Kiwami 2. I just spammed the high kick as Akira the exact frame the CPU would get up so they'd be in an endless loop they could never escape from.

Fun fact, when the AI does those knee attacks while you block, it's doing a frame perfect input. Here's how it works: you press kick and guard at the same time but let go of guard exactly 1 frame after pressing it (which you have to press at the exact same time as kick). If that wasn't enough that's the input for every game after VF1! The input in VF1 is the same BUT YOU DOUBLE TAP FORWARDS BEFORE PRESSING KICK AND GUARD AT THE SAME TIME AND LETTING GO OF GUARD EXACTLY 1 FRAME AFTER PRESSING IT. JUST FOR ONE MOVE. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!!?!
