I like how much I kept making great sacrifices, just to secure the happiness of my Family and kingdom alike. Nearly getting bankrupt and running out of supplies. I didn't have enough to buy the mote, or mustered up 300+ men. Only 260. I would have thought we'd never hold the line. Or survive, but.. The sacrifice was not in vein, as I had secured victory, without compromising anyones happiness or losing anyone.

That would actually be sick. I got this ending, except some peasants stole gold from me at the end, so the bank took over my country with mercenaries. I can see that as a canon ending, with his son and the rest of the family taking back the country, maybe with the middle sister and Maya leading their people. Just ideas though. Gameplay wise it'd be similar but instead of a court you have a camp in the woods with your rebels.

Didn't expect to love this game as much as I did because I'm generally more into adventure RPG games rather than strategic decisions one. I got super invested in the characters and enjoyed the wheel of fortune: at one point I was a super rich king and then within a short time was pretty much broke again. I ended up beheading Ivo: no one burns my daughter alive and gets away with it!

This was literally the best case senario, marrying her off to a pedo wasn't a good option, having her out of the way and not worry about her during the battle was probably better than her pulling some antic that could have gotten her killed. If she didn't run away from us, and if we married a girl like her off to anyone, odds are she'd try to mount an escape, this spoiling whatever alliance we had with that man. A barely trained 12 year old girl wouldn't have been much use in the battle, she might have been there to support her mother and sister and newborn sibling, defend them when nessisary, but if the wife, a grown woman couldn't do it honestly a 12 year old with a bow or sword won't make anything better. Plus the bear or the hunter did the job. She's honestly just another person we have to worry about. At least with her out of the way, we know she had the best chance at being safe. Blaming her father, even though we had basically no choice, Eryk in the game she views as having a choice, and she hears him making deals with other lords for Armies that had protected them against the Radovians. And the peasent Army they mustered, non of that had to do with Atana's armies, infact the later half, actually fought Atana 5000 men, when the Rodovians only had 1000, they could have beat those with the peasents ans lords, in Aslia's eyes anyway. So Eryk made a worthless deal with Atana, he didn't know what was going to happen admittedly but his decision drew them into more conflict than they already had, and above all got Lorsulia killed. As harsh and unfair as it was to say, but if Eryk never made that deal more than likely, Ivo wouldn't have heard oppotunity knock, Lorsulia would not have been killed by Ivo, and all those who lost their lives in the war wouldn't have died that way. Eryk drew them into an unessesary war, sure you as the player had no choice, but in game, everything that happened was due to Eryk's choices. Can't really blame Asalia for not wanting to be married to a psychopath and end up dead. Keeping in mind she is 12 years old, and would conflate things that way. And as for her visiting... you really think that the King's daughter who ran off with her Female Radovian lover would ring well with others? Having a daughter that disappeared show up and leave as she pleased in that Era? No. A kiddnapping attempt would have been more likely in one of her comings and goings. Especially if we captured the said King of Atana, a hostage exchange? It'll cross someone's mind. And sneaking her in? Forget it, there are eyes and ears everywhere, the best case senario will send the rumor mill flying that King Eryk has a preteen girl or two sneaking into his castle and into his bed chamber. Yeah no. The best thing she could do was stay away, she wasn't of much use anyway, and send her parents letters while living her life, was the best she could do.

Honestly, Nah...While the decision we made as a king was more or less rational based on the information given (though we def should have checked our facts regarding Revodia before bring in that complete tool Talys and his psychotic P.O.S son)...from a human perspective the girl just watched us drop the ball that is her sister. And with that old pervert King whats-his-face, who offered to back us if we sold him As, she can literally see us picking up her ball to maybe fumble it. Add in a willful personality, that would absolutely hate the idea of being, and yeah, of course, she was gonna bounce. Good on her. Plus, there was a non-zero chance of the entire family biting the big one. I'm frankly a little surprised we hadn't arranged something ourselves, for just in case the kingdom fell. TLDR: Even if she loved us, she probably stopped trusting us a little, and that's entirely fair.

I "lost" the game after the Radovian battle for negative kingdom happiness and would have had to re-load like 2 or 3 weeks before the Radovian battle to have prevented that. No way I am doing the trials and battle all over again. The game is way too demanding on resources, none of which make sense. "I have a rat problem at my farm, give me 3x your treasury or you lose 60% kingdom happiness!" Fuck outta here. Game is fun, til you realize it's unnecessarily hard and screws you over for making the right decisions to prep for war (oh, you win the battle regardless...thanks).

it's not hard if you don't screw up early game. late game i had like over 600 gold and i did it by making alliances early game, not paying the army somtimes, doing drug deals with etton, investing in that inn and ask for 3 gold per week, and more. don't pay your agents if you don't think they will be needed. use the gold to keep your citizens happy and they'll pay you hefty tax (caps at 23 gold and 18 supplies every week) eventually, you can start affording to pay your agents every week, even if you don't use them. if you do, it just saves you gold and money from having to pay them the next week if you send them on errands. also get the first loan (no fee so if you don't spend it you won't lose anything) and invest it well. ik how annoying, needy, and dependent the subjects are but honestly, if you just make smart decisions you'll have 0 problems with resources

I'm very sad because my choices made me just fight Radovia, lose the war without having the battle on the castle walls, the ritual wasn't even a possibility, and the middle daughter's friend was exiled, I don't know how but the younger daughter never had a bear too. I thought I was just playing normally, but in this kind of game one decision changes everything, sad and not considering playing it again because in some cases I don't even know what I did wrong.

You are mistaken. This game has a pretty tight story, and MAMY decisions that you'd assume would change it actually don't change a thing. Gathering all the evidence in the trial? Doesn't even matter. Confront Ivo or don't confront Ivo? Same exact story either way. Very little is actually changeable.

And Michiavelle would have died again knowing you kept potential threat and addition to king paranoia by not killing Ivo, even so, you have moral ground. If you want realpolitik with good story, play Suzerain. It's based on Turkey geopolitical situation post WW2.

I believe i had a good ending too my country's happiness was around 106 or smth ( i had a goated economy) but i did send asulia to varid ( i thought that ivo would attack with 6000 so i needed all i could get ( because he could offered 6000 men)) and i got everything else to go perfectly ( i did have to kill my hunter to protect my family) but the rest is good 👍

Went through the game perfectly, having done everything in it at all. Requests of all the inhabitants of Davern, except the scammers, were granted. Didn't turn anyone down. All the characters at the end were colored (best ending). Radovian was spared. The flaw in the game is the developers' perception of the Middle Ages through the prism of their libtard views, which affected the story. It's palpable, especially with the lesbian Azalea, who in the Middle Ages would probably get her ass kicked (and rightly so) for this kind of twist, rather than the "follow your lesbian heart" crap.

I think so. Don't even consider marrying her off, because if you play it right you won't need an extra 1,000 men. Around week 47, she'll ask you to spend the rest of her life with Maya, and if you say yes, they'll stay in the castle with you.

With Ivo in jail Atana cant have a new king, while old one is still alive, they can't start a battle too, can't start another war, cant do much. If u kill Ivo? They choose a new one, which will wage another war on the kingdom for killing 2 kings of Atana etc. Also there were more soldiers who escaped, you hope that your soldiers who run to save their lives (and their families probably) survived and escaped from Ivo, but u kill one yourself when u catch him? Where is sense? And more, but aint got no time for talking xd

@@szwedy1 Imprisoning him isn't much better. It leads to violent crimes everywhere. And Ivo admits to responsibility for his father's death, revealing that he tried to kill Eryk, as well as the murder of Eryk's daughter on false witchcraft charges. He also had a number of his own people killed for the same charges; which the villagers you take in are witnesses to. Not to mention, they lost 5000 soldiers and countless resources. If his successor had any sense, he would realize that Ivo was the real villain all along and form an alliance with Eryk to make both of their kingdoms stronger.

@ except this is basically like telltale games, where you're given choices that might affect the character's fate. Regarding creating your own character and have him/her run the kingdom without particularly fixed scenario like this one, then try playing Romance of the Three Kingdom X or XIV. You can create your own characters, wrote their own background story (literally), set their relation with each other, and you'll get to choose which character you'd 'live' as. From there, you'd get to decide mostly everything your character can do, be it become a feudal ruler, a retainer to an existing power, or even just a wanderer clearing locals' request on the tavern. The game will mostly run under a specific scenario, but you CAN derail this scenario, or even set everything to run without following that scenario from the start. Heck, if you are into it, you can even write your own events (romance of the three kingdom XIV)

@@MrJonny-rj9jr As I said, it's more like Telltale games rather than 'create your own kingdom' kind of story. Try searching Batman by Telltale Game. The game gives you lots of choice at many points in the story, but the main storyline does not change. Only some details changes according to the choice/action you take. Unless it's an option that will outright kill batman, he'll still save the day at the end of the game. The only difference being how people around Bruce perceives him and Batman, changing how they react and their attitude in some scenes, and on rare occasions changing the difficulty of the future objective. On some, it might change their health condition. But in the end, the main plot still flows the same. Similar, isnt it?
