Sooooo fun fact, seen the video. That one about the gun was a man shooting a full auto M1 Garand (no idea how, probably some hellacious autosear) which fired 30.06. To put a bit of perspective, 5.56 and 7.72x39 which are the bullets fired by M4s and AKs are intermediate cartridges, sitting nicely between a pistol caliber… and the stuff the Garand is shooting. So yeah

4:13 that's an M1 garand. People say it's "harmless" because as an AR, it's not customizable, it's semi-auto, and has a limited clip. I always wondered if it could legally be used for hunting until I saw this video 10:04 bonus fun gun fact: snipers DO actually have to do some crazy fuckin math to calculate where their bullets are going and how they will get there. The only thing is, you can't really pull out a calculator and punch in like 3 quadruple digit numbers as your lining up targets so they have to be able to do it quickly in their heads

So fun fact this is called bump firing, bump firing is when you position your hand and gun so that the recoil from each shot pushes you semi automatic gun and you chosen trigger finger to get together. Basically turning your semi automatic rifle/ pistol/ whatever gun to full auto. Do not try at home. 4:15

The light switch one is because they put the wires in wrong, normally the outlet is by passed and the light can function without it, connected in parallel, however in this case they wired it in series so the light doesn’t work unless something is completing the circuit in the outlet.

He was bump firing it. You don't need a bump stock to fire, but it's easier, more reliable, and more accurate to use one. This guy's argument mainly boils down to "Because I've managed to master a relatively difficult thing to do consistently, that means that banning something that makes it extremely easy for anyone to do without training and with greater accuracy is dumb." Now when I say greater accuracy, I don't mean pinpoint because you're still dumping a mag, and firing that many .30-06 that fast makes hitting a barn difficult, but as far as I'm aware bump firing from the shoulder is quite difficult and will fuck with your aim a lot more than having a bump stock, which keeps a third point of stability on the shooter.
