Looks good. I thought struts can be adjusted by a professional, worth looking into. Or, try stabilus in Melbourne and give them the measurements of the struts you have and see what they have to build new ones and what strength needed, i just did it with my EGR load shield now that I have maxtrax and a roof basket etc on it. Made in Melbourne and quick turn around. I want to see someone fit one of these with the EGR dust defence kit, think it won’t work unfortunately.

Thanks Adam, another informative video. Where the holding screws stainless or zinc steel? I was wondering if they have a rear rack which you could fit your spare tire under. This will allow top of the rack to use for max trax, solar panel etc. Also spare tyre would be ove wheels and allow long range tank under tray rear.

@VideoShowMeHow Жыл бұрын
Yes I did, you need to trim the inside lip of the box by about 30mm with a grinder otherwise it could foul on the mechanism. It will depend on which type you've gone with though, some don't I beleive

Great install Video. I will be interested to see how this goes. I have seen a few Amarok ones that have dented tailgates. They sit very close to the outside skin of the tailgate & when you stand on the tailgate or put a fair amount of weight on it loading the back of the ute up, it dents from the inside out.
@VideoShowMeHow2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. Re the clearance, you can see in the vid the rods for the latches run under the box and move freely, so seems to be a decent gap 🤷
@jasonquinton44002 жыл бұрын

Did u get these cut out with a dremel or something? Seemed like that part was just skimmed over. Cheers
@VideoShowMeHow2 жыл бұрын
Yeah for mine some of the little notches didn't seem to need cutting out (I actually forgot about them when I did the first test fit and only a couple of them hit and needed removing). To cut the notches, cut in both sides with grinder then a set of pliers to the line, grip and move up and down till the metal breaks off and voila 👌

@@VideoShowMeHow ahhh interesting. Fantastic thanks! What's your view on installing without using sika?? You got any tips on the latches. I’ve spent about 5 hours trying to get them to work. I get them working fine. Put storage onto and latch doesn’t open or disconnects the rods.
