Thank you so, so much for the conversation, @vidIQ! I had so much fun (although my elbow had less fun at 5:14 😅). And for all the smaller KZbinrs out there - just by choosing to watch this video and learn new things, you're already there. As long as you keep going, keep learning, and keep improving, the views are inevitable - it's just a matter of time. You got this, and we're all rooting for you 💙

Really enjoyed this video! 🎯Lots of great points and information for my notes and future projects. Though I have only been creating video content for a little over a month, I can relate to the feeling of "being good enough." However, with each of my 32 subscribers, I have feelings of encouragement and even a renewed commitment to continue moving forward. Success to me is the feeling I get when I complete each project and hit publish. The views, likes, and comments are all enhancements to that feeling of success that definitely help to level up that initial emotion. I simply try and look at this as a long-term journey rather than a short-term adventure. Anyway...Thanks again for the great content! 🙏

Wow, this was such a great video! I learned so much from April Lynn. First, the idea of creating "banger videos" that are both interesting and broadly appealing really hit me. It makes sense to think about what catches people’s attention, even if they don’t know you yet! Second, I love her take on thumbnails-using curiosity gaps and focusing on what matters most to grab clicks is genius. Lastly, the different types of videos she talked about, like connection videos and soul videos, opened my eyes. It reminds me that not every video has to be a huge hit; sometimes it's good to just make something for yourself. Thanks for sharing all this!

April doesnt know this, (well she does now) we took EVERYTHING she taught in her two big videos, Thumbnails and Intros and COMBINED it with a "great story".. "Daughter reunites with mother 49 years after she was forced to give her up." Result... 234K video views (19 days) and still reaching skyward.. Thanks vidIQ and April. 👍

Thank-you both for this video. Very timely for me and my channel. Not only packed with some really great advice I have never heard before, but the little bit at the end about not giving up is so true. I used to blog 3x per week many years ago! and nearly gave that up after about 18 months. Instead, I decided to force myslef to blog every week day (It was a business blog) for the next 6 months and it made all the difference. I did nothing more than just keep going. Kept my business supplied with more than enough customers from that point onwards.

I often see a video thumbnail and instantly know what to expect, including usually what type of KZbinr and presentation will be in the video based on years of my viewing experiences since 2006. However sometimes I know I will have to sit through some aggravatingly annoying people and things, to get to the information of value if there is any. Not sure how many other viewers have to do this, maybe a lot not sure.

Aprilynne's videos were so so helpful to understand the psychology of youtube. Though, I'm not going to lie, I haven't found my style yet and it's really hard to know where I'm doing it wrong. I feel like there is alot of value in my videos, sometimes it's just hard to know wheter I'm doing something wrong with the thumbnail, title OR the idea. A low Click-Through-Rate could result from either. Just experimenting for now and gathering data, but it sucks to put in alot of work into a video just to get like 20 views 😂

Make 3 types of videos - 1. BANGER = meant to grow, meant to reach new audience, success metric for the video is views specifically views from new viewers 2. Connection videos, those videos are meant to connect with your audience at a deeper level the success metric there is what do your comments look like, what are your conversions to off-platform communities (discord, twitter, twitch maybe) or products (merch maybe) 3. Soul video - videos you make just for yourself, when your in a burnout make something regardless of what the outcome is make a video and ask yourself “did I enjoy making this?” playing games literally anything you want chill ( a good example I think is DANTDM right now) - don’t go for a banger video every video that leads to burnout

The last video you posted on the tool was 7 years ago and part of it mentions spamming tags.. "More is better" etc. however official youtube policy states "Adding excessive tags to your video description is against our policies on spam, deceptive practices, and scams." At first I understood the video may just be old and the tool must be updated to the current year however when applying the correct amount of tags according to KZbin's current policy your "SEO Score" lowered me from a 70 to a 48... leading me to believe that no in fact the tool is outdated and inaccurate. We have spent a lot of money for your software and we are very upset

I really need to start watching your vids: every. single. day. My channel took 6 years to get to 300 subscribers, because while caring, I wasn't committed, except to a special focus and interest in quality. So, 6 years, a few dozen videos, experimental. Then I hit one global viral video, get the partner program threshold like 0-60 in 2 seconds. But I saw someone else steal my viral video, and within a few weeks got 1000 subs. I'm doing my best not to moan about it, but it really does take a lot of wind out of my sails. The root interest & vision & desire for quality is still there, but it feels stalled, and need some sort of new motivation from another source. Edit to add: I have turned on notifications from "Personalized" to "All". That should help. :)

So I'm in a predicament it seems 🤔. The content I create is very labor intensive. I'm the one doing the labor as well as recording and editing. Now I don't really have a problem with it. However the videos that are being talked about as far as consistency don't seem to be as involved. I'm lucky if I can keep a video coming once every 2 months at this point. I work a full time job so i dont have every second of the day to commit to it. It feels like monetization is right around the corner, but will it be enough?
