Thanks for the great review! Now, they have the newer ViewSonic ELITE XG270Q. It's the newer version of the ViewSonic Elite XG270QG. ViewSonic appear to have fixed all the issues of the XG270QG with the newer XG270Q - and it's cheaper. It would be cool to see a review and perhaps a comparison of the XG270Q with other top 1440 monitors on price/performance.

I've been rocking this monitor for about 2 months now and really like it. I know it's basically the same experience as the cheaper LG model, but I think the build quality/aesthetic design plus a full g-sync module and 165hz overclock make the $100 price gap between the two models palatable and I'm super happy I got my hands on this monitor, thanks for the great review!

If you want 1440p and the lowest input lag with highest 240hz refresh rate gaming monitor get the HP Omen X27. It is truly amazing, Tim at Hardware Unboxed gave it a really good review. It's great having a monitor that will take advantage of future GPU upgrades. Hard to believe HP made it! lol

The HDMI Hz issue could it be that it's because they use a 1.4HDMI vs a 2.0? Needing to know to see if I get the LG 27GL850. Also I bought the Mag 15 1660 Ti after your review and the feedback you provided. Have been loving it for my very first gaming laptop/pc. All the games I've love to play have been outstanding. With the note can you clarify if I can use the mag 15 to use thunderbolt 3 to DP. I ask because I saw a video in the past saying that the thunderbolt did not support DP screen output.

That is actually a worse monitor. The xg270Q does not have a nano ips panel, it has a standard ips panel. The x270qg has a nano-ips panel and all the benefits that come with it over a standard ips panel.

Zephyrus supports DisplayPort over Type-C, try connect it with Type-C instead.

ive been searching for days for a new monitor to replace my 1080p 60hz samsung... but every time i find one with great reviews they are sold out across every platform... and then i see ones that are just too expensive to just gamble on if it will be good or not... i wouldnt mind spending 600 dollars on a monitor if it didnt have dog shit reviews like every single ips monitor ive looked at. seems like they all like about response time or have terrible overall QC of their products and getting a good one is like hitting the lottery

In my experience, switching to high refresh rate displays doesn't make you a better gamer. It is just feels visually better and the movement is much smoother. Being a better gamer relies on your own skills.

Hmm I tried a CS:GO demo, 60Hz, 240Hz and 360Hz, I got more kills with the higher refresh rate, so I think there is something to it.
