I currently have a CGS Hawk being built at their new factory in Ohio that will have Puddlejumper amphib floats installed shortly down the road. Was ready to order the Rotax 912UL to complete the build, but now I’m definitely interested in this. Doing my research, but everything I’ve seen thus far has me leaning toward this option. Very impressed so far.

Great compact motor for the power rating. I am very curious as to how your progress and testing is going for this motor equipped with the turbocharger is going and do you have any numbers to post for performance? I turbocharged a 3 cylinder suzuki motor before with great success and attribute my success to the knock sensor and time to try different timing settings with LOTS of commuting hours on the motor. I did many hour long drives in lower gears to keep the RPMs up for a good test. The increased torque this motor has was just amazing.

Any particular reason why the 3 gear gearbox was not used in this build?

In a pusher installation the two gear gearbox works better for the installation and thrust line.

Mounting locations are completely different from engine to engine, and our systems are sold as a unit.
