This is so beautiful, but unless in different categories, their Kiss From A Rose would blow this out of the water. Even Please Santa Please with its catchy tune. This song is wonderful, I just don't see how it competes with those two in the same year.

This just melted my heart. With Mitch’s angelic and Kirstie soft and soothing voices. Then Scott especially when he sings the last line of his solo.”There’s nothing to it” 🥹 Matt with that chest soothing bass and Kevin’s beautiful voice joins with him holding the whole thing up. This is truly one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and I’m 63. I also get what you’re saying about the nostalgic feel. I grew up watching those old movies. Great reaction as usual. These two songs are pure nostalgia for those of us from the US of a certain age. "Christmas Time is Here" is from the animated TV special "A Charlie Brown Christmas", first shown in 1965 and I think shown on TV every year since. And "Pure Imagination" is from the 1971 movie, "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".

For we older GenXers... Both Willy Wonka and Charlie Brown Christmas hold memories of our youth. Commercialism started taking root in the mid 1970s... so these werr days when families still gathered around the Television to watch those beloved Christmas Shows and Movies. Bet that rarely, if ever happens anymore. And for those that have lost Grand/Parents... they are truly bittersweet memories... i cant help the tears 😢...

I can't believe I missed this reaction from you. I'm wearing a very sad face now. You're may be the only reactor I've come across that noticed Matts gorgeous base lines in this song. I've said before that this song brings back all the nostalgia. It's the personification of every Christmas wish that's ever been granted. For me, it conjures a picture of Charles Schultz, Snoopy, and Gene Wilder ice skating on a frozen pond; winter hats down over their ears, jackets open showing colorful Christmas sweaters, and scarves around their necks blowing in the breeze.

So beautiful! I smell a Grammy for this one. It was almost haunting. PTX just gets better and better. Pure Imagination is from Willy Wonka movie and Christmas Time Is Here is from the Charlie Brown Christmas special on TV. Both from the late 60's to early 70's. You talked about the buttery warm bass...yes , it was amazing. But those high notes in the background were so high! They knocked another one out of the park!! Great reaction Dude!! A surprise of a mash-up and I like that they added a slow, thoughtful, song to the new playlist. It's GORGEOUS! I understand it might not be your fave....I tend to prefer the more upbeat ones and traditional as well, though none of their traditional songs stays that way for long. They do add their delightful twists to every one. I'm looking forward to your holiday journey!
