Fortunately, it's actually still pretty hard for Izu to let go of his heroic morals, so even if they offer, Izu will still not completely accept the jargon of AFO's shit in canon :D But if he does, well..... Izu-kun would be terrifying as a villain, would he?

I love that the song cuts off when it does. Because Villain Deku I get. He's been true enough bullshit that honestly I wouldn't blame him for snapping and wanting revenge. Shinsou is different though. I'm not saying that he didn't have a difficult past, (God knows I just want to hug him and tell him it's going to be alright) but the bullying wasn't because people thought he was useless (like Izuku) but because they thought he had a "villain quirk". He's been fighting his whole life to become a hero and honestly I think he'd rather have Shigaraki kill him than become the very thing he desperatly tried not to become.

Yeah, definitely. I also love the sort of role reversal here, with Deku being the creepy, morally shady one and Shinsou being the one who remains heroic. That's not an exact flip obviously, as Shinsou was never evil in cannon, just determined and opportunistic, but seeing Deku be the darker of the two is fun.

From what I can tell I think Shinsou would only be turned if the world truly failed him. If he’d been rejected from the Hero Course even after the sports festival, and then rejected from the other career choices he tried to make after that. If truly abandoned by society, with every positive door finally shut in his face, he would finally cave and become what society had forced him to be. Cannon shinsou as cannon has progressed would never have been corrupted by the dark side Shoto on the other hand >.>

Izuku joined the League, and everyone seemed to mellow out a bit, but here, Izuku is the one talking to the hostage, and Shiggy is the quiet threat. Either Izuku is, through T-Posing or charisma, now in charge, which Shiggy hates, or (and I like this better) Izuku showed up and was just... kind. He was understanding, and didn't judge them for their scars and weirdness. Twice? Traumatized. Toga? Literally has a dietary need for blood. Dabi? Scary to look at. But I like to think Izuku didn't care. That, villain or not, he could empathize with them. Toga got bullied by peers for her quirk situation. Dabi got beat to shit and burned by someone he looked up to and wanted to be like _for a decade._ He's good to Toga and helps her find things that fit her diet, he talks to Dabi about self destructive habits and abuse that he can relate to, he spends time with Kurogiri... He's earned their trust and he doesn't abuse it. But Shiggy has been alone since he was five, minus Kurogiri entering the scene when he was like eight at the earliest. I did the math. He's not trusting, and this is a nod to Izuku using Hitoshi as a way to remind Shigaraki that he's allowed to chill out and feel safe, that he and the League aren't an unsafe place. ...Or Izuku is just insane and Shiggy is low-key worried and mad that his authority has been undermined.

I just love how deku is still somewhat of a hero, despite being a full blown villain now. Like that little part of him that wants to save lives is still there. I don’t know whether or not this was talked about, but I kinda wanted to mention among the whole talk about the video in the comments. Nearing the end, Toga, Dabi, and Kurogiri stand beside Deku while Shigaraki is there to intimidate Shinsou. Now I know this could probably be wrong or something since I’m not always the best at analyzing a scene but- We see the original members of the LoV stand beside Deku and look at least content, happy, or heck disinterested but with it. Then there’s Shigaraki, who stands behind Shinsou about to end his life when he kept refusing to take the deal. Shigaraki takes a brief moment to glance at his companions and I just got the vibe that, of course, he didn’t like it. Since he ran the show when it came down to the LoV, and now Izuku comes onto the scene and it messes everything up for him. What Shigaraki deems his ‘legacy’. Since Mushie mentioned the potential factor of villains lurking around in hiding, in case Shinsou suddenly loses wit as goes ham, we can already take into account that it could be Twice, Mr. Compress, and the whole party. Or maybe a new group, who knows. Because this is Deku running the show and pulling the strings, the main three look alright with it except for dusti boi.

I watched it so many times already. It's just sooooo goooood. The way it's animated, their facial expressions, and how you portrayed their personalities from the canon. It all fits the song so well too. I love how deku is visibly acting cute on purpose (that growl and the way he starts acting when league appears sells him) and we get to see a bit of his chaotic craziness. It's just AMAZING, but the thing I love the most is the fact that you used Shinso as the person Deku is trying to "persuade". Like deku knows him and knows what he went through, but unlike Deku, whose bad experiences lead him to look for solutions in being a villain, Shinso is, I'd say, forced to be a good guy. His biggest fear is to become a someone he was portrayed as for his whole life. Deku knows. This whole scene is just a play (Just Deku being super EXTRA). He tricks Shinso to thinking he has a choice, but as we see at the end he doesn't. If he joins league and helps Deku in whatever they're planning, he will prove everyone that yeah he was and is a bad guy and this might break him. It would be a good shot to try to make him believe that he has nothing he can return to because everyone will see him as a villain. Uh I kinda got carried away, but this is the way I see it and I love it. Even if I'm wrong it's still so good.

What’s so good about having Shinzo here is that, at any time, he could have activated his quirk while Deku was still responding to him and he could have easily gotten out of there. But he stayed because he was genuinely intrigued in what Deku was saying- literal chills from this oh my gosh. Shinzo had every chance to escape until the other villains showed up, then his fate was sealed and there was no use in him activating his quirk.

He definitely knew the other LOV members were nearby waiting, which is why he chose not to try and fight/run. Why else would Deku not bother properly tying Shinso up? Shinso knows full well that if he makes a single mistake then he's as dead as a doornail. Plus, even if he used his quirk on Deku then the other league members would've simply snapped him out of it. Deku was in COMPLETE control of the situation.

I love how throughout this, Midoriya is mostly smug and sometimes a bit crazy, but there's certain frames where that changes and we can see the soft Deku that we're all used to. That's what really sells this as an AU that's really possible for me. Under everything, he hasn't fully changed. He still loves his team, but he's also more gentle than them, in a way. He took that kindness in his heart and uses it to try to manipulate Shinsou and that's just really... Real.

Honnestly, I think it's my favorite version of Villain Deku so far. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE the whole smoothy cool mastermind stuff, but it feels less a "what if things had gone wrong" and more "what if he had a personnality split due to the trauma" you know what I mean ?
