It's definitely the '70 Charger. When I think of Fast and Furious iconic cars, I think of that car and the story behind it and why he didn't drive it. Aside from the impossible burnout wheelie, that was probably the most iconic drag race in all of the movies when they raced to beat the train.

The producers of the Fast franchise should watch this and realize that most of us like Doms cars and the series as a whole to be more grounded in reality. Top 3 cars are all from the first movie while the more ridiculous ones all went at the bottom. Maybe just give us nice fast cars? Maybe we don’t need a 1968 charger that is actually an autobot capable of time travel to prevent 9/11 and also get Marty and his hover board.

This is just a small cross section of car nerd fans, producers realized they make way more money appealing to general mass audience instead of car culture people so the series is now heist/action movie with stupid stunts. People know James bond's 60's Aston Martin too, but they're more wowed by the newer models with crazy guns and gadgets even tho they can't name the car and usually destroyed in 5 minutes

Brian bet his eclipse and lost to dom making it doms eclipse, but after it was destroyed he said the iconic line "you owe me a 10 second car" So Brian went ahead and helped them build the supra, he may have been driving it throughout the movie but dom still owned the car

FUN FACT - In the original script, Dom's Dad's car was a FWD Buick Regal. After discussion with the car consultants they changed it (for the better IMO) to a Charger. So later in the series when Dom drives the GNX, it's a reference to the OG script Regal.
